Only for maths. For sciences I haven't seen any questions on prelim content other than basic skills (e.g in chem: chemical equations, electron diagrams etc). Also some prelim content is relearnt anyway.
What do you mean disregard? That's part of the half reaction.
The reduction potential of MnO2 + 4H+ + 2e- → Mn2+ + 2H2O is 1.22 V
The potential for 2I- → I2 + 2e- is -0.54 V (assuming it's solid otherwise you won't get your answer)
If you add these you get 0.68 V

First in Course – students who come first in a course (provided their result is also in the top band)

|z1| |z2| |z1+z2| are length of three sides of a triangle.
The length of one side of a triangle is greater than or equal to the difference of the other two. Equality when the points 0,z1,z2 are collinear.
Yeah if you did papers from before 2010 or something they frequently used this notation to show cells.
The question didn't say which combination of Q and P will give highest voltage, it just said which cell.
No that's not correct, if you read it carefully it says for that particular cell it can be expressed in that notation (as that cell notation is no longer taught in the syllabus so students may not be familiar).
Then it says in which of the following cells will produce the max voltage.
The...
