Context: Advanced English test.
Student realises he needs to take a dump -> gets an epiphany -> turns to creative writing section to write about belonging... in the toilet.
= Profit?
Note: ends up being mocked by Bored of Studies forum in the band 2/3 written responses.
The imagery you chose to use is so vulgar and disgusting that I had to take a shower. What the hell? Crap dangling from your bum? Excess pressure?
:dog: Getting outta here.
Sorry, I meant business studies. Yeah Ancient History is kind of fun, but only during the test because I basically wrote my heart out. The extended response questions are always source based, which means you can make your own inferences, and, there are plenty documentarys on YouTube which are...
I've checked myself for all the IT based courses and UNSW and USYD generally asks for 3U assumed knowledge, AFAIK, there are no prerequisites. You can check yourself by Googling. But yes, doing general maths will probably make you struggle unless you think you can do calculus or learn 3U as they...
Lol prelim year, although a substantial jump from Year 10, is still pretty easy. I crammed all my subjects unfortunately but have ended up with 85% + for all tests with the occasional 95.
Easiest in prelim for you will be Legal and Ancient History. IPT is much harder than AH and Legal in my...
Good. If you can do well with these subjects and get into the course you desired then you are completely set. Computer science and engineering only asks for 2U or 3U maths as assumed knowledge, depending on which uni you wish to attend.
Yeah, it's kind of useless. But you get to bond with your peers. However, some people do leave for another school in Year 11, so the chances are, you will be seeing some of your classmates off.
Simple. Get your syllabus from the Board of Studies and then make notes on each dot point to make sure you've covered every aspect. Then to complement these notes, after going home from school - review the chapter that you did and with memory and guidance from a textbook, make notes on the...
For English extension 1, be prepared to read lots of books - although it is the least content heavy out of your other subjects. You don't really study english, you practice. Ancient History and IPT are both medium in content weight.
Man I agree with everyone, my WPM is 130, I'd be finished so quickly. And I also find it easier to do essays on the computer.
This is so true.
So my guess is that the HSC will not be done on the computer for at least another 6 years.
If you are ever unsure about doing 3U or 2U, choose 3U because you will be able to drop it anytime and stick with 2U. If you didn't choose 3U in year 11, you won't be able to choose it later on.
Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I love IT and am aiming for B Information Tech at USYD or UNSW however my mathematics is not that good - so I chose 2U Maths.
To my horror, I realise that assumed knowledge for the courses mentioned (both mine and yours) is Mathematics Extension 1. I can see by...
