Hey ah I wasn't at the Cadetship night, but heaps of first years and a few second and third years were too. ojmayo32 who posted on the first page of this thread was there.
How's the CA going man? Where are you working?
Good question. Well the email I got last year telling me I had been offered an interview said approximately 200 people were selected for interview. The number of applicants is a little more sketchy. I've heard various estimates of between 700 and 1000, but this could be way off. I don't...
Well here is the full list of majors and sub majors available in the BAcc and BBus degrees at UTS: UTS:CBK90170 Major/Two sub-majors/Sub-major + four electives - UTS Handbook 2010
For what you are wanting to do I would say an Accounting major and perhaps a sub major in Small Business...
According to this link (UTS Bachelor of Accounting - Application & Selection home) it should have been up in Mid April. I'll send an email asking when it will be going up on your behalf :)
BAcc vs Cadetships, I'm probably not the best person to ask as I only applied to KPMG and that was a...
Hell yes, JP is a machine! My fav JP solo would probably be some of his live ones: In the name of god or hollow years from live at budokan and another hand/the killing hand live at the marquee. but far too many too awesome one's to list.

*silent revelation...
Thanks to all the guys chipping in to help with the questions and other info, that's why I started this thread :) I learnt today there is a 3rd year BAcc who has lined up interviews at IB's. Not sure if he's looking at M&A as such, but definitely IB. If you did really want to get into...
Well mate you still have ages to decide what you want to do, but I recommend that you apply for BAcc, because you have nothing to lose. Just visit each uni's website, and really determine what differentiates their courses, cause often it's only subtle differences between them, and that might...
Every semester you're at uni full time (ie: not on internship) you do 5 subjects, and I'm pretty sure that will always equate to 15 hours per week, but hopefully a 2nd or 3rd year might correct me if I'm wrong.
Lectures during main semester are combined with BBus, but most tutes are BAcc...
I don't know the guy you said haha but thats probably because I'm a first year newb. i know most 2nd years and a couple of 3rd years. But good to hear that you heard about the course that way. My mate told me about it cause our careers advsior knew nothing about it. He just told me if all...
Most BAcc's were in the higher end of the 90's, with an average say around 95 and several very high 97's, 98's and 99's.
I would say definitely wear a suit to the interview. IIRC it says 'business dress is recommended' but you'd be crazy not to go in a suit. Extra curriculars are great and...
Ok, I'll approach this question as best I can and hopefully some older BAcc's might be able to help me out.
If you can achieve an ATAR of 99+ you would have certainly fulfilled the academic requirements for BAcc (95+). However, entry to the course is based also on the application forms you...
