anyone else seem to think markers have a biase on language fluency in english?
e.g. i wrote my first belonging essay and got 9/15, they put C range for all sections including content, in the trials i wrote it with better structure and fluency but witht he same content, and got A range for all...
according to the marking guide, u'd get band 2 for every area as just about the only thing u can prove there is language fluency and structure so bout 4-5?
subject---rank---trial mark---extra
English Adv-~70/150---63/105---32/45 for paper 1, slightly underprepared for paper 2 (31/60)
Maths Ext 1---4/50---71/84---didn't do good in half yearly but 2nd in trial
Maths Ext2---1/20---70/120---by far worst test so far, got ~95 for half yearlies hence...
draw a line OC, u will get a sector and an isoceles triangle
ang(OCA) = @ since its an isoceles triangle with 2 sidelengths being the radii
ang(BOC) = 2@ (forgot theorem name)
A of sector = 1/2 r^2 2@ = @
A of triangle = 1/2 ab sin C = 1/2*1*1sin(180-2@) = 1/2sin2@
A1 + A2 = pi/4 (pi is area of...
apply for both? thats why they give u 9 preferences
if u truely screwed up ur MX1 assesments and can still come top 30 in a really high rank school, then 97 ATAR should be easy (assuming you don't screw up ur HSC aswell)
what did u get for the last projectile question?
i expressed the equation as a quadratic in terms of tan@ but when i used the quadratic formula, it didn't simplify
yes, it is also demoralising when u think ur awesome for half a year coming first, then starting to go tuition and realise u suck cause all these selective people own u
does the gap difference matter if ur first?
i'm first in 1 subject and wasn't sure if i should have studied much for it or focused a lot more on my weaker subjects, bit late now anyway
accuracy > speed (for me)
i'm not sure if this counts as finishing or not, there was 1 question left (8mark circle geometry crap) and i had 30mins to do it, but i sat there and couldn't get a thing out of it
2a) cbf but mostly likely due to the length contraction formula, the pole will fit in the shed as observed by the stationary observer
b) as the pole is stationary in the runners refernce frame, the length of the pole will remain 5m and he/she will not see the pole entirely in the shed at the...
3. we don't do friction forces in HSC physics, are u sure this isn't part of engineering?
4. can't see diagram
5. bit strangly worded, but it looks like there is 15N of force to the left and 5N to the right so the net force is 10N to the left, F = ma; a = F/m = 10/10 = 1ms^-2
6:i'm not to...
