isnt it to stop those kids who fold up a full prepared essay real small then unfold it and hand it in and the supervisors go 'wtf why is the exam all creased'
it should be ok because in section III we need to quote from the texts and mine has swearing. it looks silly if you censor it out. lol or write -beep-!
but if you're not sure, go for 'bugger' rather than 'fuck' if you want colloquial exclamations for example.
yes my teacher said that's true. the stimulus is just that - a stimulus. it's not the whole central focus point and obsession of your writing.
e.g. teacher drew an elephant on the board.
after long discussion, we ended up with an article on a political issue with only the quote 'we're...
HA!! good one.
OP : if you're doing heart of darkness as well and you cover HOD pretty well, that'll make up for the associated simplicity with leunig texts. however you say you've got a good argument for leunig so go ahead good luck. i've definitely heard of leunig-doers who've gotten top...
you choose.
i do the worst last otherwise it freaks me out and i keep yelling inside my head 'crap! i've failed!'
so creative writing is my last :)
reading's good to do first. although i often leave the last bit of the reading right till the end cos i can't do it within the first 40...
have two that are easily applicable to any question..
btw they're supposed to be different text-types and it's ideal to have one novel.
my texts are both films (long story. i didn't do it deliberately. had to scrap other text)! will i get penalised?! :(
right now? no. i tried.
there's a recorded voice and its a guy telling you the open hours. try after 4pm.
edit - if you call really close to the exam there's a 100% chance they'll put you on a callback list. keep that in mind. you gotta hang around next to the phone (let alone in the...
eeek sorry! i didnt mean to sound rude or anything. i was actually making that comment generally (not addressed to you) just explaining why exactly i wanted these answers and why i havent bought the book (i suppose i could have worded it with less exclamation). although to be perfectly honest...
Why spend money buying a book which contains papers from 2007 back....
WHEN IVE ALREADY SPENT MONEY BUYING THE 2006 ONE????! That would be pointless and such a waste of money. I have EVERYTHING but the 2007 answers! And it's not like you can easily GET answers from anywhere else...well, other...
Could you please tell me the correct answer to question
from the 2007 hsc:
21. c)
22 (both parts)
and 17?
(I've only got the 2006 version of success1 so would appreciate these answers from someone)
also, what do you think the number of significant answers for q. 22 should be...
it's a good idea to go on about an experience you're actually really familiar with.
If you don't understand fully the emotions involved in coming to terms with the loss of a friend, then it's probably not the best idea to try and creatively write about it.
so the advisor-people, do they know what's in this year's hsc? is there any chance they may have written it?
i'm not asking so i can go and threaten them or something,
but i saw on another thread someone saying they got advice about likelihood of a particular thing coming up in an english...
have a look at heaps of past papers and you'll notice most of the questions dont require recall at all because they're trying to avoid rewarding us for rote learning a bunch of things that dont really mean much.
the questions are often more about UNDERSTANDING and PROCESSING information. i...
Brave New World was actually pretty good. And Blade RUnner kinda grows on you....
I HATE THE FIFTIETH GATE SOOOOOO MUCH ITS ABSOLUTE CRAP
