My trials are in term 3 weeks 1-2, currently trying to study hard for them while balancing out remaining assessments. :(

    Week day routine

Personally, I focus the most during the day/afternoon as I completely lose focus after 10pm. I sleep in as well, so I never study any earlier than 9am. My weekly schedule goes something like this (it tends to vary though, depending on my naps after school lol). Monday - Thursday 4-before 5pm...

    Economics HSC question help.

I remember doing this exact same question during class, and majority of our class (including me) got it wrong on the first go. This was a while ago and I tend to forget stuff, so my explanation might be incorrect (anyone here is welcome to correct me lol) Here, we see that headline inflation...

Solutions to old physics hsc papers? (1995-2000)

:/ It's a shame they don't exist. I've honestly never heard of NQE but thank you so much for your suggestion! I'll look into it :)

Solutions to old physics hsc papers? (1995-2000)

Hello! So I'm currently trying to study for my physics trials next term in weeks 1-2, and I discovered that the old syllabus (the one before 2001) shares more similarities with the new syllabus (particularly with questions being more mathematically based + some topics like wave model of light)...

It's all good, I didn't really start either... many of us probably haven't either with all these assessments. Good luck with math and english, what kind of assessments/topics you have? My English assessment is a creative writing hand in + short answer reflective questions in`class

    bounce back with trials?

Yes you certainly can improve in your ranks! :) It seems you already know why you didn't do as well (not focusing enough on 3U), so be sure to address that. Work harder for the upcoming trials, and make sure you allocate time to focusing on your weak topics. Also, make sure you do exam papers...

Went through quite an intense fortnight just then, had 4 assessments due in the past fortnight (2 of them on the same day...!) So excited for the long weekend though, what are we all doing? Sadly might still do lots of work since I got an English assessment due week 7 + studying for trials

This thread is quiet huh? I can't blame everyone for being busy though, since I'm quite busy myself too. How's term 2 going for everyone? If you got your semester one reports, how did it go? When term 2 started, I was actually on a roll and studied quite effectively! And then it all took...

Honestly, the hot weather was the reason why I couldn't focus on work 99% of the time and why I stayed in my bed instead. :P How were everyone's holidays and what did we all do? Also who is ready for this year? I'm not~ Remember that we are almost there!

    Roll Call: For HSC 2019

Hi everyone~ :) My subjects are: English Advanced 3U Maths Economics Business Studies Physics My aim is to achieve top 10 in all my subjects within my school and hopefully get a band 6 in at least 2U math and social science subjects, with high band 5s in others. Not too fussy about it though...

What are everyone's plans for these summer holidays? I'm mostly relaxing, but might still do work (especially catching up on my study notes rip). Though I am unsure how much time I should split between relaxing and studying. Don't want to risk burning out yet I don't want to fall behind either :')

    I messed up bad

Yes it is 100% possible bounce back! I was in the exact same situation as you back in preliminary for physics. Our first assessment task had a weighing of 20% and I scored 5/20 in it, placing me at the bottom 10 of the cohort. Of course, I was extremely disappointed and even had a breakdown...

Anyone here have general tips to improve immune system? I get sick a lot and I'm worried it will affect my performance in year 12, especially since it's the crucial year... I got sick recently and because of that, I'm now behind in all my subjects (apart from 3U math, since I studied ahead). :spin:

    Drowning!!!

Hi there, we don't share the same subjects so I can't really give you specific advice for those subjects. :/ But I definitely had the same problem when year 11 first started, felt so overwhelmed to the point my mental health suffered for quite a bit... it's better now but I still freak out from...

    2019ers Chit-Chat Thread

Year 12 hasn't been too bad, maybe going a bit slow as we went through prelim papers/outline of year 12 syllabus longer than I thought. Also we spend more time in class practising writing short answers (particularly in my social science subjects) than learning the content. I suppose it is...

Is it possible to get a high E3/E4 without tutoring?

Thank you all for your responses and encouragement! :) I feel much better knowing that it's definitely possible. To those who achieved it without tutoring, congrats! I will be sure to listen to all your tips and hopefully my hard work will pay off~ Well I guess I am competent in a sense that I...

Is it possible to get a high E3/E4 without tutoring?

Hi all, so I want to plan ahead on how I will prepare for HSC subjects, particularly 3U maths. Tutoring is not an option for me due to family financial issues. However, more than half of my extension class go to tutoring for math. :/ I honestly feel very initimidated by this and I'm worried I...

Just going to requote my post from the preliminary thread. I feel this is very important to remember especially considering there will be times where we feel down or demoralised during year 12!
