we use fitzpatric... but we jump around between 2u and 3u, depending on what we need to know to continue.... atm we're doing curve sketching... though I'm not sure where that is.... we did all that trig stuff ages ago though. It was real easy I agree. We've done combinations and permutations (in...
Mine are.... well it's hard to choose...
Glass House
Red Dwarf
Black Books
Black Adder
Spooks
...... and just about any period drama from the BBC. Is it too obvious that I'm an ABC girl?
I play Euphonium/Baritone.... I even have my own beautiful 4 valve Eupho... it's my baby. I can kinda play trombone, guitar and recorder. Playing Eupho is fantastic at a girls school, cos my band mistress loves me - the only other euphonist in my school is my sister, copycat.
We're doing Othello atm.... I must admit that I haven't yet read the play... but we've been watching a BBC production in class, and so far I'm finding Othello very unengaging.
For your assignment I'd choose the Iago option, because he is the centre of the play... and says a lot that you can...
I'm having real problems in English. To give some perspective - The half yearlies put me in the top 10 for all my subjects except english where I'm 86th....
I have no problem with the course content, which is really quite straightforward, but when it comes to essays I'm getting progressively...
At my school only 3u students use fitzpatrick... for 2u and ext. but the 2u students use a couple of other text books... Fitzpatrick is really irritating coz it assumes you've done all the chapters up to the one you're doing, which means sometimes while working through 3u stuff you need to skip...
You do not have to put effort in. I do very little outside class and in 2u I got 95 topped the grade, where the grade average was somewhere in the low 70s or high 60s, and in ext. got 89 where the top was 90 and the average was somewhere down in the 60s I think.... studying has little to do with...
English Advanced - 62%
Maths - 95%
Maths Ext. - 89%
Chemistry - 94%
Drama - 85%
German (Written) - 90%
I haven't got Ancient History or German Speaking back... I'm proud to say I topped my grade in 2u Maths, and the top in Ext was 90%.
I also got full marks on my German creative...
We did Death of a Salesman too. :vcross: but our school chose The Great Gatsby for the comparative text. Was yours the comparative study through The Art of Sacrifice? We had our 1/2 yearly last monday and they gave us a very specific and limiting question... it was evil!
Half Yearlies!!!!
They're not till next term.... I don't have to think about them yet do I?!
I don't know what's in most of my half'yearlies anyway cos we're in the middle of an assessment period.....
English though will be (for my school) gatsby, salesman and the art of sacrifice
I don't have any myself, but my school (my year esp.) has a fully functional anime and manga trade going on.
I love Yami no Matsuei, and Gravitation is pretty good too.
Go the Slanime!
Hey, how do I cope with subjects that my parents have chosen?
Has anyone else had that?
My parents picked 3u Maths for me, and though I'm quite good at Maths it bores me to death. I know I can get the decision reversed and out in my favour but that seems to be a lot more effort than...
I can't believe I am the first to post in this thread from Concord West Public, that's crazy. Admittedly it was a very small school and only now is it starting to get big.
Though I went to Summer Hill for OC.
