    Art Express

Inspired/Depressed. A bit of both really. Inspired me to put all i can into my body of work, depressed me because some of the works were so good i was almost daunting! I was a little surprised that 3/4 of the exhibition was cultural based, the concepts were a bit repititive and cliched.

who went to Discovery? (feb 18-20)

    Class of '03 target UAI's

That's where you do the HSC over 2 years isn't it? A girl at our school who was involved in state/national sport chose to do it that way. Back on topic... I would never of imagined aiming for a UAI in the high 90's til this forum. I'm doing pretty cruddy scaled topics because i love the arts...

    Extension English

I don't really have any advice as such, but i'm in the same situation as you. I want to drop a subject and do 10 units, one of which is extension, except the school's giving me hell about dropping to 10 because of the "risk" involved. Ultimately i think it should be my choice.

    The Bone People

My school? Sorry to dissapoint you but a crappy, crappy place on the south coast called st john's. It seems everyone else here is from selective schools. To me, the castle was kinda an attempt to make something out of nothing. I mean ok, i saw the point, and it's a great comedy, but some of...

    Looking for Changing Self Texts!!

"Tirra Lirra by the River" by Jessica Anderson is a really good changing self text, but i doubt you'd want to read a whole novel. It's just something we studied in ext 1 english in year 11, so lucky for me i've already got all the relevant quote drilled into my head.

    10 units

I'm in the same situation. I want to drop a 2 unit subject and go into the HSC doing 10, but our "school policy" states you MUST have a minimum of 11 units. It's turned into this big fuss where i've had meetings with the principal, subject co-ordinator, etc etc. I don't think i'll bother...

How FAST did year 12 go?!

Our school starts year 12 work in term 4 of year 11, and although i've only just completed that and i have another year of HSC to go, it feels like it drags on for two years because you're doing it over 2002 AND 2003

    HARD VS EASY Subjects

really? i hope so, it's a relief anyway. but i guess i'll just have to do exceptionally well at all of them to get in that top 1% and avoid the severe scaling down.

    HARD VS EASY Subjects

I'm doing a lot of subjects that don't scale too well: Ancient History English Advanced English Ext 1 Legal Studies General Maths Studies of Religion 1 Visual Arts Does this kinda ruin my chances of getting a 90+ UAI? I'm coming first in the majority of them, but even so, they're...
