    Summer clerkships

Even if it is true that this student everyone is discussing is undecided as to what their future career will be - why is that so offensive to people? If you are a good student with great employment prospects, which I am assuming this person is given the positive response they received from...

    notes for exams

I usually have enormous!! notes (being summaries of all the cases, readings, legislation, practice questions etc) more so for a security blanket than anything, don't really remember actually using these huge notes. But I am one of those people that would rather waste time preparing them, as I...

    notes for exams

Are they open book or closed book exams? as the structure of your notes would differ depending on what they were.

    Easiest/Hardest subjects

Personally, I found Admin pretty easy - fairly low workload, cases and statutes are a fairly easy read and its fairly interesting usually. Same with constitutional, fairly broad range of issues within it, cases and statutes aren't too hard to read. Corporations also isn't too bad - bigger...

If someone breaks out of jail, but is later found innocent of their crime...

Yes and no i suppose in a way - that is similar to what I meant as far as being charged but not sentenced. Eg they may acknowledge that what the person did was unlawful but would not impose any sort of sanction against them so it would have the same effect as not being prosecuted at all. Yes...

    UWS as a uni?

That's actually really true - of the people i've been in classes with at uni, few are 'westies' - a lot live in the Hills district or heading towards Strathfield direction or in Northern suburbs and the people who act like "westies" are not all necessarily from the west.

If someone breaks out of jail, but is later found innocent of their crime...

I don't know of the legal authority on this issue, but logically, I would say yes as you were still required to remain in prison whilst your sentence was standing. However I would think that a Court would not impose a sentence on them given the circumstances.

    B bus (property)-UWS VS Property economics-UTS

As Wooz said - blacktown campus is closing. So - if transport or travel time is an issue don't base it on blacktown - if you end up at Parramatta it's not too bad to get there if you can get a train on the western line cause then it's just a bus from the station, or a 20 minute walk if you're...

    UWS as a uni?

Haha definitely :) fortunately Admin was one of those classes where you learnt more from the textbook and your own research and common sense than the teacher lol :)

    UWS as a uni?

PM'd back. I was mainly pointing out i suppose the more 'positive' side as the way most people in these forums seems to view debate as to UWS is to ignore any positives and believe the negatives offered, so it was valid to offer them. As i said in my PM - in my experience having finished one...

    UWS as a uni?

Lol i don't mean to sound rude but, duh :p - that is why i said that in my experience that isn't true :p and for clarification sake my experience = lecturers from the School of Law, School of Management, School of ER and School of Eco and Finance Others may be different, but in my experience...

    UWS as a uni?

Out of curiosity - what course do you do? I agree with the casualisation aspect to an extent, although family members at other unis doing different degrees have complained about the same thing so i don't know how much of that is a UWS thing or just a general trend. Just curious as I have done...

    UWS as a uni?

Well, then, at least in my experience - what you have heard is wrong. I have only had from memory 3 lecturers in 4 years with 'accents' and only one was a bit difficult to understand. Not so - apart from the fact that the lecturers don't necessarily have less experience that at other unis, a...

    Honours Dissertation

Just read some more stuff on the UWS one - it's a 8,000 to 10,000 word research paper only which seems smaller than others. I suppose my main concerns as far as doing it as part of an ordinary 4 unit semester workload are that firstly, I don't see the point in doing it if you don't do well, and...

    Honours Dissertation

Thanks for the reply :) Wow! i am impressed, that sounds like a really heavy workload! I doubt i could handle that whilst maintaining my sanity. Is there much beyond the actual writing of the paper itself as in class work or viva voce or anything like that? The UWS ubit description says that...

    Honours Dissertation

Hi everyone, Anyone who has done/is doing their Honours dissertation I was just wondering how significant a workload it is? I'm considering taking this unit as UWS now requires you to do the Honours Dissertation unit to graduate with honours (prior, it was just worked out based on your GPA...

To be or not to be?!!! Law at UWS

Personally - i would say you're better off going to UWS Law and then if you don't like it, transferring out after 1st year to another uni, rather than doing another course and then transferring. Partly i think this is better as, if you really want to do law as you said you do, you're better off...

    Motivation in Law School

Wait til you graduate from your first degree! It's a far less enjoyable occasion when everyone else is talking about going on holidays and things like that and all that's on your mind is the class you have the following Monday and law assignments :p I'm only finding it so hard to be motivated...

    Academic Awards

Omnidragon - just pointed it out given the post that followed Frigid's --> Just thought you may have missed that but meh, doesn't matter :) I may be reading into your reply too much - but - I wasn't inferring that you wouldn't have received awards, scholarships or whatever else alike others...
