WA has done this, but only for people who are "Approved Managers" under the Liquor Control Act. So it's only a few (usually under 5) people in each store. It's a pretty expensive process to become an approved manager now... You have to do your RSA and Course in Liquor Licensing ($310), get a...

No. Originally when the EDR program was launched, operators were required to ask customers who didn't already have an EDR if they would like one. This was stopped some time ago, basically because customers were getting annoyed at being asked every time they shopped.

I think this is more likely to be the opinion of a particular group of managers, rather than company policy. I can understand that it doesn't make sense to make someone who is under 18 a supervisor at a store where they would be required to do work in the liquor store, or cannot sell cigarettes...

I have been with the company for 6 years and 3 months. Coles used the term first. The store manager (or duty manager) should be the first person who is called for a Priority One. The reasoning behind this is that the store/duty manager has 'ownership' of customer service in the store at the...

Luckily I have rarely encountered resistance from other staff during my time with Woolworths, but this is what I would do: - Have a quiet (ie. where nobody can overhear you) word to the staff member and let them know that the action they took was inappropriate. Tell them that you are more than...

Are you referring to the silver key, or the black key? When SCO was launched, the silver key was supposed to be kept in the main safe apart from when it was being used. Does anybody know if this has changed? Sidenote - I remember when SCO was launched, and the note dispensed needed to be...

There is no plan to reduce the reliance on PA calls. All external calls still need to be broadcast over the PA (eg. Store Manager, Service 91) before transferring the call to the appropriate extension. Yes, the increased number of handsets will be very good, given that some large stores have...
