Oh wow, I remember doing in our Preliminary year. I actually did a cosmetic store (similar to GLOSS). My friends did coffee shops, clothes store, gym (I'm not sure, but I think it was FitnessFirst thingo), reseller of Apple products, etc.
Even entry-level jobs now need experience :S
I applied at Red Cross and Salvos and they said experience was necessary.
My CV pretty much starts which a sentence objective. education and training. skills. awards and achievements. tonnes of extra curricular activities. interests and referees.
I have gone and talked to managers as well, but still nothing, plus half of them tell me to apply online.
Yep, I am currently undertaking Bachelor of Business and Commerce/Bachelor of Laws at UWS Parramatta.
I did go to the resume revision service and made some slight changes, however still no luck.

Law of demand is basically an inverse relationship between the price of a good or service and the quantity buyers are willing to purchase in a period, ceteris paribus.
Don't do China or India because it would be too common in class. And yeah marker won't like the repetition.
Try Thailand or well Mongolia as stated above.
Pre breakfast - Green tea with lemon

I think you'll be fine without your laptop.
In lectures, they will go through the unit outline, learning guide and cover a bit of content. you'd be alright with some paper, pen and your ipad.

I have 3 hours on Monday, 3 hours on Tuesday and 5 and 1/2 hours on Wednesday. Total class time = 11 and 1/2 hours
However, with breaks and awful timing on Tuesday (5 hour break :O) I will spend around 20 hours on campus :O
