    Is Tutoring really necessary

I don't think his intention was to brag, though. It's easier to say "I didn't have tutor minus one". It's the same as saying "I had one tutor in the past temporarily". There is no difference.

    HSC Physics Predictions / Thoughts

Isn't NESA ironically validating his own answers at that point? Makes sense, this year's exams have been...weird to say the least.

    HSC Physics Predictions / Thoughts

That's strange. He must've deleted it or it had to be taken down. Still, his logic was correct in the multiple choice, especially with Question 20.

    Should I drop?

This. If you hate a subject, you don't wanna study for it. Nor do you have the passion to go ahead and find inspiration to actively learn extensively. And it'll just stress you out more when you get bad marks for it. Really, I suggest dropping it and focusing on 10 units.

    How to improve physics

For my Physics learning, I really didn't do too much work and focused heavily on understanding content as opposed to just remembering it. Physics is one of the most intuitive subjects I've come across, and there is no route learning that can just be applied. I suggest trying to really hone in on...

    Is Tutoring really necessary

I think really just do as you please. I only had "tutoring" for Maths and Physics. The only reason I needed a tutor for 4U and 3U Maths was just that my teacher was pretty bad. He just read from the textbook and would rewrite the exact examples the textbook gave...like, what? I found it hard to...

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Nah I don't believe I got a 90+ raw for Chem. t was mistaken with calculations and I am not really confident with MC either. I think I just lost basic marks due to other things, too. 85+ raw is more reasonable, as I said...but I just find that it's best just to wait for the final outcome.

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Imma lose my marks I think due to my calculations...I was stressing a lot in the exam and I might've punched in my calculator wrong...feelsbad :/ Hopefully it isn't too much!

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Well I'm in the same boat, since I used 0.05 mol to calculate energy for the NaOH dissociation xD

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Hey man, don't worry at all! This exam was harder than expected amongst the whole cohort. If anything, I feel B6 cutoff will be similar to Physics last year (which was like 76-77?), considering it was also a hard exam for Physics last year. I'd say even 75 cutoffs this year would be reasonable...

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

It feels kinda like NESA is experimenting with us still. I mean, we are still 2nd year of the new syllabus. This exam was upped in difficulty (considering the ease of last year's exam) and did favour mathematically oriented students, but it feels like NESA is trying to figure out a good balance...

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Hey I never really got to talk to you, personally because I was a lurker...but I just wanted to thank you deep down because of your effort for Chemistry. Thanks for taking the time to tutor students and have time to help out on BoredOfStudies. Really means a lot and I appreciate your work.

Also, for the assumption of 25*C thing, I mean it feels like a "spherical cow" issue. It does feel a bit weird just to do that...I felt they really should have specified. But oh well, 4 marks just deleted like that :)))))))

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

I'm an idiot and used the 0.05 mol excess to calculate energy. SO I literally times the 0.05 to the NaOH molar enthalpy of combustion. I feel so stupid... Might just lose one mark but my process otherwise was correct.

DARN IT! I would've gotten it too. I was thinking of using Ksp, but I brushed it aside because it didn't say 25 C. Welp.

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

You know, PEAK used KSP for the CaOH question...but it didn't specify the temperature was at 25C.

That's still so good. Your scaling is going to be insane because of the performance of the cohort.

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Yeah...nah, I think most people really would not want to look at the answers to an exam unless they're really confident. No one wants stress for the 6 soul-crushing agonising weeks until HSC results. If I look at those solutions, I swear I am going to projectile motion myself off of a mountain...

HSC Chemistry SOLUTIONS / Thoughts / Predictions

Honestly such a mood though. I did want to finish my HSC feeling confident about my final exam. Turns out NESA this year wanted to make Chemistry more challenging. Welp, this just means mark aligning will be good this year!
