    A few integration problems..

Yeah but from which point do I have to add the absolute sign? Just the answer or the whole way through my working?

    A few integration problems..

Oh thanks! My teacher skipped the odd and even stuff. Maybe I should read over it lol. Thanks guys!

    A few integration problems..

    A few more I can't seem to do -_- 13. y=x^2+2x-8 and y=2x+1 A:36 units squared 14. y=1-x^2 and y=x^2-1 A:2 2/3 units squared 15. Find exact area: y=sqrt(4-x^2) and x-y+2=0 A:(pi - 2) units squared And thats the end of this exercise! yay! :D

    A few integration problems..

Q8. Find area enclosed between curve y=x^2 and line y=-6x+16 A: 166 2/3 Im going to stop typing the whole area enclosed thing, you know what I mean... Q10. y=(x-2)^2, y=(x-4)^2 and x-axis A: 2/3 I get close to the answer, but close won't get me a mark. This is so frustrating. Also, you know...

    A few integration problems..

Thanks! But what I don't get is that why you're not adding the areas from -2 to 0 and 2 to 0 @Timske I have plenty more questions I need help with! lol

    A few integration problems..

Thanks for the help everyone! Continuing on.... Im now onto sums and differences of areas, or areas between 2 curves. I can't seem to get this one... Q6. Find area bounded by curve y=x^3 and y=4x Answer is 8 but I keep getting -4

    Formula Sheet

Yeah, its best to just do questions and write out the formula every single time.

Any suggestions as to how I can get back on track?

I agree with the others, you should drop maths. Maths takes constant revision and practice, which you probably didn't do since you dropped to general(just guessing). Also, you're probably behind nearly half the general HSC topics now. I personally think dropping a subject gives you a hell of a...

    Subjects? Scaling? Effort?

Then whats this rumour Im always hearing that Physics is the "hardest science"?

    All rounder?

With my subjects (I do eco instead of legal) and getting 90 for everything gets me around 96 ATAR

    Subjects? Scaling? Effort?

Just a random question, but what scales better, chemistry or physics?

You're amazing! But for Q19, I got 16/3(5.333333) but its meant to be 3.14

    A few integration problems..

Could someone give me the proper steps for Q19? Im still not sure (mostly on changing the subject) Also I have a few more questions (I just need help factorising) Q6. y= -2x^2 - 5x +3 Q8. x = -y^2 -5y - 6 They're from different exercises in case Im confusing you lol and Q15. Find the area...

    A few integration problems..

For Q10, could you give me the steps to changing the subject? Thanks A LOT for this btw!

    A few integration problems..

Im doing area so would it still be the same? Answer is pi = 3.14 square units

    A few integration problems..

This is from Maths in focus Areas enclosed by x-axis Q 19. Find the area bounded by the curve y=sqrt(4-x^2), the x-axis and the y-axis in the first quadrant Areas enclosed by the y-axis Q5. Find the area bounded by the line y=2x+1, the y-axis and the lines y=3 and y=4 Q9. Find the area...

In need of advice on whether to drop Maths or Extension History... Or none?

Drop maths, you hate it and won't put in the effort. I think lots of people pick maths because you've pretty much done it your whole school life, people don't get that its OPTIONAL like every other subject (besides English). If you're bad, just drop it, it'll take a lot of stress off your shoulders

    TSFX Mastering the Exams

    Is it worth it?
  20. Coookies

    teachers contributing to stress. discuss.

Im not sure some teachers realise everyone has 10 or more units and therefore can't focus on their subject. Especially during assessment period grrr
