    raw marks vs aligned marks

Only if your final HSC mark is above 90. Sort of. It's the 82 (say) which is used, but the 92 still has meaning. The 82 raw is actually scaled by UAC - this is to adjust your mark such that your 82 is comparable to all other subjects. That scaled mark is then added with your other scaled marks...

They would have fixed it right after your exam. Don't worry.

There are some marks here: http://rawmarks.info/wiki/PDHPE Good luck.

Can someone please explain how my final mark is calculated?

Yes of course. 50% HSC exam, 50% assessment mark. The assessment mark is your school mark which is adjusted based on the exam. The highest assessment mark is adjusted to equal the highest HSC exam mark. Since you got the highest assessment mark (i.e. ranked 1st), the highest HSC exam mark...

What happens if you don’t turn up to a HSC exam?

An ATAR is a completely separate process. If you don't turn up, you get completely excluded from that subject. You won't even get a result, as if you never did that subject. https://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/11-12/hsc/rules-and-processes/rules-procedures-guide-students

    Internships

Well they're the easy ones to be able to find - they are advertised everywhere. Find a place where you'd like to work, make an enquiry and see how that goes.

    Internships

What are you planning on studying? There's no point applying for an engineering internship that's available if you're studying commerce.

    Internships

Not many people have that luxury of choosing when they can do an internship. It is a competitive process for many of the large internship programs, so apply as often as you can.

Am i allowed to do this in a HSC Exam?

This could be considered intentionally marking your paper, i.e. the crease is a mark to the paper. So I would say don't do it.

    School Ranks

It plays no role at all.

Is it actually possible for a mid to low ranked students to get 90+ ATAR

Schools that tend to achieve 25% of Band 6s in total are likely to have a median ATAR of 90.

How much can the hsc exams influence atar

That would depend on your subjects and how each subject scales - scaling is carried out afresh each year. You can work out from ATAR back to HSC mark back to raw mark. That would only be a rough indication based on historical data.

How much can the hsc exams influence atar

Your HSC marks dictate your ATAR, and your marks are derived from the exam.

Do internal marks affect your ATAR?

Your mark will be adjusted to reflect how your mark of 72 compares with your peers, and how your cohort performed in the exam. Read this: http://community.boredofstudies.org/461/atar-hsc-marks/352981/ranks-my-final-marks.html#post7186547 Your moderated mark might be close to the 98th exam mark...

PAST STUDENTS: Below average internal marks but high ATAR?

Bet they said that for last year's cohort as well. Median would probably be around 90. You should aim for above the median.

Have you been told about final internal school ranking after trial?

Your kid should be told because they should be verifying their rank when NESA releases them on their portal.

    Will second overtake first place?

The person with the highest school mark (i.e. first), for their assessment mark, that will be equal to the highest exam mark of any student. They still keep their exam mark, whether good or bad. Second can still end up with a higher overall mark. You still need to do well in your exam.
