    General Thoughts: SOR I

Did most people discuss 2 or 3 aspects of their religion. I did 3.

    Multiple Choice

Thank you. That's good to hear.

    Multiple Choice

Sorry, I don't have the paper on me, but are people saying that the answer was Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism OR Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam?

    General Thoughts: SOR I

I thought that was the easiest SOR exam. The essay question was so generic, and the only thing that will discriminate there is how well people linked the different aspects of their religious tradition.

    Section II - Short Answer

What positive did people get for the CAD? I only got an inflow of foreign capital to fund projects and achieve profits (which is equally perceivable as a negative).

    Section I - Multiple Choice

I think Q7 is D. An increase in superannuation doesn't mean employers actually pay more and hence no cost inflation. It just means they take a larger proportion out of the employees wages. This means employees have less money, reducing demand inflation. But that's just my opinion.

    Section II - Short Answer

Another cost is noise pollution. Another benefit is employment opportunities from building the highway, which is pretty labour intensive.

    General Thoughts: Economics

In other words, shove as much cause and effect in as you possibly can, backed up by statistics ideally.

    General Thoughts: Economics

Yeah, I actually timed myself so that I wouldn't rush multiple choice, because for some reason I tend to do poorly (not this time I don't think!), but still ended up with 2 hours to do the essays, even though you're only supposed to spend 35 minutes on each.

    General Thoughts: Economics

I actually felt that this exam was much easier than previous years. Anyone else?

    General Thoughts: Economics

The markers will make sure that markers are made of aware of what happened. After all students leave they go over the exams again to check them.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

Pretty similar to what I did. But I think that Amaranth95 is right. It all depends on how convincing you are.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

For some reason these lyrics make me think of Speer and Hitler when they drift apart. So emotional.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

I agree with that, although that's largely semantics. But the point I make is that those "ideals" certainly were still around when Hitler became Chancellor, only falling apart afterwards.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

Probably right about that date. I don't know. I think you could do it either way to be honest because there's no time to do both. You either focus pre-Depression or post-Depression.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

Technically Weimar persisted after Hitler became Chancellor. It was a legal way he came to power. In 1933 he banned the KPD and that wasn't very democratic but still upheld Weimar standards. In 1934 he used the Enabling Act to ban all other political parties. This virtually killed democracy but...

    General Thoughts: Modern History

So you focussed on issues after the Depression rather than stuff like Kapp Putsch and Treaty of Versailles?
  18. Darth_Duplicity

    General Thoughts: Modern History

For the Great Depression question did anybody talk about the growth of Nazism up to Hitler becoming Fuhrer or was it all pre-Depression factors for you guys?

    General Thoughts: Modern History

I did Speer and basically said how he became First Architect, General Inspect, Minister and Author. I did the same approach as you, whereas I think your friend went off on a bit of a tangent.

    General Thoughts: Modern History

In terms of the Weimar question and the impact of the GD I actually took a different tact. I only alluded to issues pre 1929 such as TOV and the old right but I actually focussed on how government incompetency, Nazi dynamism, constitutional flaws and Hitler were the key issues that collapsed...
