    Physics marathon (hsc)

The centrifugal effect causes a bulge lol, look 'Centrifugal bulge' up. Edit: Actually 'Equatorial Bulge'.

    Physics marathon (hsc)

This is what I thought - Does the rotational velocity not result in an increase in eccentricity of the Earth's ellipse? If this is the case surely the equator becoming closer to the centre of gravity will be counterbalanced by the poles becoming further away - otherwise there is an increase in...

    Marks Prediction Please

LOL 1400/5 is NOT in depth - especially considering there were three arms of policy, as well as a discussion of changing policy stances.

Technically were we supposed to have "environmental policies" for Q28??

You guys are stressing over nothing. The question was intentionally loose so that you could discuss policies at your own choosing, rather than discussing them all. You would be much more likely to get a worse mark if you spoke about all of the economic issues due to lack of depth.

    Marks Prediction Please

Sghguos you're so full of shit, stop trying to make other people feel bad. It's ALWAYS better to go for quality over quantity. It would have been impossible to cover all economic issues in depth. Douche. Edit: Oh, but in response to the question, I'd say around 85 raw but it's really hard to...

General Thoughts: English Advanced Paper 2

Yeh I'm sure I'll lose a mark or two, that being said, I answered the question, so I'm still looking at a high mark. BTW if you're wondering how I answered the question without mentioning context, I merely did it by separating the literary techniques of Frankenstein from the visual techniques of...

General Thoughts: English Advanced Paper 2

Did anyone else not mention context in Module A? It didn't seem relevant to me at the time. Although I can see how it might be.

Market failure helppp - short answers

    1. Poorly defined property rights result in 'The Tragedy of the Commons', whereby community-pool resources, both renewable and non-renewable, and harvested at a rate unsustainable w/ regards to the goal of intergenerational equity. Private cost fails to consider the externalities of poor...

Anyone got 2 exams on one day?

Got physics and legal... It seems quite a few people have that. Deepens my dislike for the BOS.

    what technique is this?

Also similes of 'glass of chocolate' and 'heart'. But remember that you don't need to be forced into mentioning specific techniques, for example, with the line 'Bitter. Sweet. Alive' I would say something like the use of one-letter sentences creates a rhythmic feel, and also draws attention to...

Romulus My Father: How many characters?

Are you crazy?? Christine is by far the best to analyse in terms of belonging - I mean she commits suicide because she doesn't belong. But to answer your question i've mainly done belonging between Romulus and Christine, but also shades of Rom-Raim and Rom-Hora.

Hamlet will be the death of me

Someone please notice the irony in this statement.

F/BR - Do we really need to talk about "what makes us human?"

BTW I have a relevant quote to throw at the BOS from Frankenstein: "A human being in perfection ought always to preserve a calm and peaceful mind and never to allow passion or a transitory desire to disturb his tranquility. I do not think that the pursuit of knowledge is an exception to this...

F/BR - Do we really need to talk about "what makes us human?"

I have 13 for Mod A, ~25 for Mod B, 13 for Mod C Bear in mind though that within that there are two film analyses, ergo more techniques.

F/BR - Do we really need to talk about "what makes us human?"

Of course, within that umbrella thesis I have lots of specific points w/ specific quotes/techniques, i.e. similarity in values, similarities in upbringing ETC

Haha I know I'm just trying to renew my confidence

F/BR - Do we really need to talk about "what makes us human?"

My Belonging thesis is "Belonging is tied to commonalities in various areas" and I can quite literally mould that to almost any question.

F/BR - Do we really need to talk about "what makes us human?"

I link Frankenstein's questioning of human identity as a contextual warning against straying from Romantic principles, and as a backlash against Enlightenment Age reasoning. I link Blade Runner's questioning of human identity as a warning against developing technology without any thought for...
