    Physics, Chemistry or Biology tutoring?

Even if you can afford it, a tuition in every subject is not a good idea. You have only 24 hours a day. During term time you have only the time after class to attend tutoring. For any subject you need to spend a fair while doing your own work; learning is not a passive activity. The more...

Should i choose Va or Physics

Maybe you are more Humanities-oriented. So don't know if you'd enjoy Physics. Re comment by cchan334: "Generally Physics is not a prerequisite . . . ". But be very careful. The universities, in my view, had been, and most continue to be, highly irresponsible by not insisting on more...

What's the best way to memorise content?

In the thinking of Western Education, rote learning, (which invariably is associated with memorisation) is frowned upon if not despised. I personally think that is rather misguided. In traditional school learning, one of the skills they acquire is memorisation. This is not necessarily the...

What's the best way to memorise content?

May I suggest you write down (by handwriting & not by typing) (conscientiously, consciously & not hastily) whatever you need to memorise. Repeat this a few times, until you get it. At latter stage, try to reproduce as much material as you can, by recall, referring to the original material only...

Being qualified does not make you a good teacher. In fact some highly qualified people have been known to be hopeless teachers. Just pointing out.

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

Until I see how you actually mean, it's hard to say. Looking at how I myself write, I think about 90 % of the movements are made by my thumb and the next 2 fingers (I'm right-handed). Maybe this provides a clue.

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

Wrong. I'd be more than happy to do it, if it helps, and if it is safe to do so. But I was very disappointed at the behavior of young people - who were inconsiderate. I took the trouble to turn up, was prepared to buy them each a cup of coffee etc and what did they do - just not have the...

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

Thank you very much; I see what you mean by "moving the arm" - not quite how I'd describe it. If someone would be kind enough to video me doing my handwriting, it'd better illustrate what I've been trying to say. I don't know how to do this myself, I'm embarrassed to say.

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

I'm sorry if I seem to use rather harsh language. I'm frustrated to see more than 50% of people nowadays being unable to write. It is no fault of theirs. Maybe nobody showed them how to do it properly when they started out learning to write at maybe 5, 6 or 7 years old. Most of the time no one...

Not true! You move your hand, NOT YOUR ARM. See what I meant when I referred to the "blind leading the blind".

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

That is misleading: "do not write cursive". If you do not know how to write cursive, then it would be better to avoid cursive. Look at specimens of handwriting done over 50 years ago: nearly all of them are in running writing. Running writing is the basis of writing more quickly. Or...

    Acceptable handwriting in English essays?

Re turtle67's video on pen grip: That is "the correct" way to hold your pen. If you have access to a person older than 60, chances are he/she can show you how to write. Whilst having a smooth-flowing pen helps, by itself you cannot write well if you, like over 50% of youngsters nowadays, do not...
