For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

If you're not attracted to someone, then OFC you wouldn't marry them. You have no need to get married if you don't want to.

But you can marry... You just have to face the same restrictions as everyone else does in regards to who you are allowed to marry (in regards to being accepted under civil marriage). This is fairness incarnate.

Issues of the LGBT community in Australia...

Married couples tend to be more committed to staying together and the upbringing of their children compared to people living together but who are not married. Marriage simply provides legal protection and financial support to increase the stability of the relationship, supporting the unity of...

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

But whats the point of granting equal status to that which is not equal? (in regards to benefit to society). Gogogo. But then why should the state ignore the opinions of some of its citizens (simply becuase they are religious) and pander to the morals of people who are totally...

Issues of the LGBT community in Australia...

This is not an argument, unless you also assert that polygamous unions, and all manner of relationships composed only of humans are also equally valid. But a heterosexual union represents something which is more valuable to the state than the sum of its parts. It (not saying all of them, but...

    Homosexuality in Australia

What obligation do I have to respond to anything posted against me? I do have a life outisde BoS, funnily enough. Expecting me to respond to every post in this thread and the rest of NCAP is unfair and retarted, especially considering it's often me and a few others vs a majority. Also...

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

Two things. 1) How do homosexual unions at all contribute to the facilitation of society? We all know heterosexual unions are important, becuase well without them, there wouldn't be a society. Why bother regulating that which isn't important or relavent (i.e. civil marriage for gays)...

    Homosexuality in Australia

At least I can use grammar, and don't rely on hateful speech to spread my arguements. ...And no I wasn't raped by my dad :S

    Homosexuality in Australia

Um... yes there is, and morality aside there are many heath risks associated with it. Um... show me why homosexuality should be encouraged, in light of its health risks etc. Simply because it hurts nobody other than those consenting to the act (aside from adoption) is not a reason as to why...

I can't be. Yeah, but the reasons as to why they are not great countries to live in do not relate to the fact that homosexuality is illegal.

Simply responding to something is not indicative of actually refuting the point made in the original post.

The law doesn't actually reflect moral truth. Say if murder or rape were legal, would that make them right? I realise these are extreme examples, but they prove the point. Simply because homosexual sex may be legal, in no way makes it right, or morally acceptable behaviour.

Issues of the LGBT community in Australia...

...But I haven't seem them refuted. I've seen them sidestepped, and dismissed for completely arbitrary reasons, but not actually refuted. P. sure thats not actually it. 8D

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

I never said it was a mental disorder... it's a choice. To be more precise, however, it is a preference. A preference for the unnatural and evil, but one which we are taught to believe is natural and healthy, despite the evidence to the contrary.

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

It is a crime against nature, but more importantly, against God Himself. And in many countries around the world, the physical expression of homosexuality is indeed a crime, in some cases punishable by death.

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

If it were genetic, would they even have been born in the first instance? All the crap aside, its a behaviour. It's cause, if indeed has one, has not been shown, and is only hinted at by current research, and even if it is shown to be partely biological, it is no excuse for those who engage...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Sexuality is not set in stone. People have been able to change. Both ex-heterosexuals and ex-homosexuals exist. A few pages ago, probably a lot now lol, I linked a story of this gay rights activist, who found Christ at around 30 and subsequently got married and is living happily with children...
