    Mock Trial

WOO!! My school was plaintiff for the 2nd round, we won by like 60 points against these year 10 kids who didn't know what they were doing, their barrister put his hand up and waved it around saying "Objection".. hehe, I thought that was amusing. Apparently, there is a letter being sent to...

    What does your class do?

We're doing Javascript and he actually gets people do it cause we need to kick 8 people out of our class so if people want to stay, they have to do work. Usually though, I end up doing all the stuff (did it in Year 9) and then playing Pokemon on VBA. Other people go onto Google Video and onto...

    Authority and the individual

Surprisingly, a lot of Disney movies have authority that could relate to the quote, I'm doing Brave New World. My other option was Hot Fuzz :D. V for Vendetta would be a good choice, Death Race? Shooter? EDIT: The Pedestrian or Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

    Books are overpriced?

My local bookshop had all these "classics" on sale for $6.95 the other day. Stuff like The Great Gatsby, Les Miserables, David Copperfield, Wuthering Heights. I ended up just buying Crime and Punishment

    What are you currently Reading?

Um.. I'm using Brave New World as a related authority text, a bit different to belonging but I know that some people at our school did that last year Wild Swans, I love that book. Changed my views on China and what the people had to go through. Made me realise how lucky we are in Australia...

    Animal Farm - George Orwell

Hahahahaha! You have a harder book to do. Our book it Catcher In The Rye, I think it's way easier to do for that quote we're given.

Hey, I didn't mind Twilight, thought the last book was too "perfect" but aside from the ending, lots of my male friends are reading it and liking it.

How long do you predict until Blu-Ray will 'take over'?

Probably won't come in until most people have 1080p TV's and blu ray players/burners/discs come down significantly in price to match the cost of DVD. That may take a while.

    ☼☼☼Want new MuSIK Player - no Ipod☼☼☼

I personally don't like iPods even though I own an 80GB 5.5G, I use my Creative Zen Vision:M way more. If the OP wants something that's 4 or 8GB then I would suggest the Creative ZEN or the X-Fi, you can always throw in an SD card loaded up with movies/music if you need more storage. The P2 is a...

    Internet Filtering!

I'm not so sure I like it, sure it has good intentions but it could be abused to filter out other stuff that the government deems "inappropriate". I mean, what is their definition? There are still lots of questions, who will set the filters? can you apply to get sites unblocked? will it slow...

Accessing an offline computer over a network

Or you could get a router with a USB port which you could plug in a hub and then your printer and external hard drive. I don't think that these are too expensive and it would let you share your files and printers wirelessly without having to spend too much on a NAS and hard drives. Lots of...

How do you maximise your processing speed?

Windows XP as you have seen will run reallllyyyy slowly on 256MB RAM, at LEAST get 512MB, 1GB preferably. Also, if you perhaps tried re-installing Windows? You might find that it would clear up all that junk that gets loaded on over the years. I used to format my XP with 512MB RAM every year...

    Computer Specs

Umm.. I think it's the fact that games can only use 2/4 cores (except Supreme Commander which uses 4 cores) and apps like Photoshop, Vegas and all that use 4 cores. I have a quad core, bought it last year and it really helps when doing video editing or number crunching. Also, if you're going to...
