So Spiralflex, whoever you are, I am expecting some secret information from you. Do not disappoint. "Excellent... you wouldn't mind listing them, with username, full name, age, address and hair colour?" "If you want in PM lol" oh btw good luck in half-yearlies... I'm sure you're so good you...

Further Inequations involving the pronumeral on the denominator

The other method that most textbooks and teachers use is the "gatepost" or "boundary points" or whatever. Personally I always use this one as it requires less work and is faster. Although the method above will always work as well, once you get into harder Year 11/12 inequalities, multiplying...

    Trig Proving

    My method: tanx = ktany \frac{sinx}{cosx} = k\frac{siny}{cosy} \frac{sinxcosy}{cosxsiny} = k You require sin(x+y)'s in the answer, so use \frac{a+b}{a-b} = \frac{c+d}{c-d} where \frac{a}{b} = \frac{c}{d} \frac{sinxcosy + cosxsiny}{sinxcosy - cosxsiny} = \frac{k+1}{k-1}...

    Projectile Question

The fireworks are launched 305m above the ground, and explode 280m above the ground. So in essence, it has travelled -25m vertically (considering up is positive).
  10. Q

    Projectile Question

Consider the vertical part of the initial velocity found in Part A. We can use that, plus a=-9.8 and s=-25m (the distance it travels before it explodes, negative since it is closer to the ground) to find time. I'm sure you can work out which formula to use. For D just use the time of flight and...

    Ranking and atar

Most of your subjects look fine, but maths might be a concern. I mean, I don't know if you just have 3 really good Ext 2 Math students, but a 50% for a test in a 240th ranked school isn't too great (which I'm assuming shouldn't be really really hard). Especially since you only do 10 units, so...

    Projectile Motion Help

You can. It should give you the same answer. Only problem is it'll give you an annoying quadratic in t (easily solvable, but you'd rather use an easier method).
  13. Q

    motion problems

    Hmm... I assume you know how to factorise/solve quadratics? After subbing in you get 108 = 30t - 2t^2 t^2 - 15t + 54 = 0 Just factorise to get (t-6) (t-9) = 0
  14. Q

    motion problems

    You know u = 30, a = -4 and s = 108. So therefore use s = ut + 1/2 at^2 Substitute your values in, solving the quadratic, you will get t = 6 and t = 9. So it will travel 108m in 6 seconds.

The way of the Aural skills

 Perfect pitch= free marks in every single aural exam, plus you can show off in the "How has pitch been used to create tension etc" type questions. No viva voce for HSC Music 2, in preliminary it's up to your teacher (you have Gamage? then you'll probably do one), it's good practice...
