Yes, try to perform as well as possible academically. That will make the transfer process much easier. I haven't transferred personally (at least so far) but I have had a few friends change unis. As long as your marks are good enough all you need to worry about is applying to USYD.

I'd say minimum 80-85+ ATAR guaranteed with these ranks. We might need extra info if we want to get a more accurate estimate.

Looking at your ranks, I would say an 80+ ATAR is quite possible. Modern History is the only subject in which your rank is not as good and your maths rank is ok considering you have a larger cohort. I'd say the rest of your ranks can be a positive indicator. Of course there is still the HSC...

Your ranks are great. I would estimate your ATAR to be at least 85+ (based on the info you gave and your school's overall performance). Don't take my word for it though, I could be wrong and your estimate could be much higher. Of course that depends on your actual marks. But yeah your ranks are 👌

Like you said, even if you don't get the ATAR you want there's plenty of other ways you can get offers from unis. Just do your best and hopefully everything will go well.

Most ATAR calculators are reporting similar figures. These may not be accurate because we are trying to estimate your ATAR using your internal marks. However, one thing is certain, it is less than 77 (at least for now). Most of your subjects don't scale great and that doesn't help either.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but I don't think you're able to get 77 with these internal marks and ranks. Still, internals aren't everything, there is still the HSC exam which decides the other 50%. My advice would be to study hard and get the highest possible mark, so you can get an ATAR...

Since history subjects are also content based I believe Anki would be a good option.
