economics or business studies? (subject selection)

Yes it depends on the numbers. If you can, and would enjoy business; I'd also reccomend doing economics. IMO eco is a bit harder than business, like modern to ancient hist. But doing both is helpful as some stuff crosses over a bit.

    Compound interest question anyone?

Amount = P(1+\frac{R}{100})^{n} I think this is the Compound interest formula. Using this, just extend it with each period till you see a pattern and use the GP series pattern where R < 1 I think it is: GP.Sn = \frac{a(1-r^{n}) }{1-r} Just follow that and fit it to your question, I think. I...

economics or business studies? (subject selection)

IMO, I'd do both Business and Eco. And no, if you're willing to read your textbook; the teacher doesn't matter at all.

    2010 Federal Election

Usually Liberal wins after Labour "screws" up. I'm not sure though, Gillard is a bitch - but Abbot is also an idiot. Abbot is training to be an Olympic gold-medalist rather than a PM. Labour was good with Rudd IMO.
