    How bad are unsw interviews?

yea, i know that there is no right or wrong answer with that one, but many people will fail to justify their decisions and hence get a lower score. That one was a post-grad scenario question at some uni (can't recall which one)

Chance of getting uws, uncle or unsw(lol) interview??

UWS and UNSW are out of the quesiton. Last year's Newcastle cutoff for S1 was 59, so you might have a shot there. (I'm pretty sure the cutoff will rise this year tho so don't be too hopeful.) I'd apply for non-umat uni's if i were you.

    How bad are unsw interviews?

Ohye, sorry i misread the question. I thought a patient of yours has been diagnosed with STD and doesn't want to tell his partner. This one is actually quite straight forward i think. If you're the doctor tho... Much much much harder given the patient-doctor confidentiality.

    How bad are unsw interviews?

That one is quite complex as well, i admit. How would you answer it

    How bad are unsw interviews?

I think we have to note the fact that undergrad med scenario questions are much much much simpler than post grad med interview scenarios which are often quite complex. It makes sense tho, because undergrad med applicants are mostly school leavers so they can't expect too much from them where as...

    How bad are unsw interviews?

I know that its panel, but many of my friends who were interviewed last year talked about scenario questions too.

    How bad are unsw interviews?

lol, awkward because most people fail because of their responses to scenario questions not their lack of volunteer work/motivation... you guys are all mistaken.. EVEN in MMI's, there's only 1 station asking you about motivation for med/volunteering. The rest are all scenarios..

    How bad are unsw interviews?

Nah kidding, but yes there have been many people (that i personally know of) with 99+ atar and 95%ile + umat ( i knew one with 97umat) who didn't get an offer AT ALL. Not even bonded.

    Medicine is shit!!!

They've changed that. It's like USYD now. You do a full undergrad degree (3 years) and move on to MD.

Studying Med overseas without selling various organs

You do know that you can't come back and work in australia after you graduate from overseas universities? (you technically can but it'll take you many years to sit the exams and even then, you'd have to start over again)

    Medicine is shit!!!

Inb4 this guy got 0-20%ile in umat and is just taking out his anger on medicine.

    unsw medicine umat/atar table

That table was outdated anyway. To be competitive you need 98+ ATAR and 90+ UMAT (roughly). If one is higher then you can afford to lower the other one a little. Interview is usually the determining factor for UNSW.

    Interview likelihood

Actually this guy still counts as a school leaver since he hasn't started uni. :)
  17. B

    low UMAT, relatively high ATAR.

Apply for JMP (you probably won't get an interview) and JCU and Griffith (which are non-umat)

    Chances of interview?

I was referring to school leavers. Non-Standard interstate is much easier than non-standard school leaver (as weird as that sounds).
