Subject Choice Assistance? & What's Chemistry Like?

I'd keep it as it is, if you like science do chemistry. I know everyone says that scaling doesn't matter that much but it really really does matter if you're aiming for a 95+ atar but that's just my opinion and i personally love chemistry and topped it in my school.

How busy do you get when you're in uni?

Completely depends on your degree. A degree like medicine doesn't allow you to even have a part time job unless you are SUPER organised. Other degrees such as architecture allow you to have a full time job and study full time. Also depends on the person.

    Chem for Med

lol.. you're so up yourself... Chemistry might seem easy for now but unless you maintain a good study habit, you won't get a band 6 in it. And yes, Unis such as UQ and JCU and GU have chemistry as a prerequisite meaning you will HAVE to do the course or else you won't be accepted in their...

    Chem for Med

Doing chemistry is actually extremely important if you want to do med. Way more important than biology/phys. It is a prerequisite in 3-4 universities in QLD and all unis in nsw and vic recommend you to do it. If you are THINKING of doing medicine, chemistry is a must. Biology is also...

What subjects are you doing for 2014?

If anyone needs a cheap chemistry tutor, I'm available to help you. I was ranked first in my selective school out of over 60 kids and have very extensive knowledge of chemistry. I charge $35 per hour and am able to help you understand the harder concepts in chem which are asked every year.

I need help getting into medicine!

Unless you get 99.7+ You don't have any chance for undergrad medicine this year. The pathway I'd take if i were you is to either take a gap year (if your atar is 99+) or start a preferably medicine related degree (eg med science) and resit umat and apply as a non-standard. Goodluck
