Re: The Official Cricket Thread
Marsh is an opener too though, isn't he. He'd be better than North anyway.... I thought North was originally picked to be an all rounder but he barely ever bowls. Clarke and Katich are just as good as him anyway
Re: The Official Cricket Thread
Didn't really do anything wrong to warrant being dropped in the first place + he's been getting runs for NSW
I still say put Watson at #6 so that he can bowl more overs. Must be extremely physically demanding to have to open the batting then go out and bowl and...
Re: The Official Cricket Thread
North only gets runs when we are in a good position. Whenever we are under pressure and are desperate for runs he bottles it and gets out cheaply. I've never liked him, even when he was getting runs in RSA
Re: The Official Cricket Thread
Got back not too long ago. I hate North soooo much, hopefully he fails again at Hobart and his spot becomes under pressure
re: The Official Cricket Thread
Going to watch day 3, so it looks like I'll get to see Australia bat.
I really hate North btw. I say drop him, put Watson #6 and put Hughes back into the team as an opener
re: The Official Football Thread
Beckham one dimensional? Out of the 4 players you mentioned (SWP, Walcott, Lennon and Beckham) he is the most unique compared to the rest
Seeing as you struggled to beat a 10 man Wolves side then I highly doubt winning the Europa League will be "dead easy" when there's teams like Valencia, Juventus, Villarreal and Roma etc in it
re: The Official Football Thread
Get innnn Everton
EDIT: And I'm still in awe after Manny Figueroa's goal against Stoke. Who saw it? When I saw it live I almost soiled myself
I used to be wayyyyyyyy against it but ended up trying it once and it isn't that bad. I'm not a stoner or anything, I'll smoke it if offered to me at parties though. Not really a big deal imo (if it's just used as a party drug)
re: The Official Football Thread
Boss player..... could still very well make the England squad if he plays as good as he did last season when he returns from injury
By the way, I forgot to mention that Gerrard was back to his diving best against Blackburn
re: The Official Football Thread
Really?
Great comeback by Everton... we weren't in the game for basically the entire match until Saha came on. Would've been magic if his bicycle kick went it. Game ended at like 5am and I couldn't sleep for ages cause I was so pumped up after Cahill's...
