because in your internal assessments you get tested on certain skills that you cant really demonstrate in the hsc exam. for example, in english standard you have to do a multimodal, you cant do that in the english hsc. in ees i had to write a scientific report to demonstrate thinking...

3 paragraphs with detailed analysis and 3 quotes is insane. i usually do 2 paragraphs with 2 quotes, idk how ppl are banging out band 6s with 3 paragraphs and 3 quotes while having less time than me

yea. first rank is a bit harder depending on what school u go to and the subjects u do. tutoring def helps but its possible to do well without it. make sure you ask your teachers for feedback, some will be more willing to give it on samples then others, and especially note assessment feedback
