You seem to be forgetting that evolution has programmed humans to be idealistic because it's a survival trait.
I reject your premise that, rationally speaking, humans must be cruel and power-hungry in the absence of god. You dirty pseudo-Objectivist! :o
Besides the secular aspect of Humanism, surely you can identify strongly with the emphasis on social egalitarianism? That's the foundation of Australia and Catholicism alike.
The Australian constitution still has the provision for the colony of New Zealand to join the new Commonwealth Federation. Oh, you already said that.
But in reality, it will happen by free trade and movement, banking, food regulation, etc ties increasing to the point that the two countries are...
I was being facetious, because I really don't care about that little debate. For all intents and purposes, God does not exist to me, but technically speaking I'd be an agnostic (more in the sense that what caused the universe is unknown, rather than fence-sitting on whether or not a god exists).

Um, no it's not you silly social conservative.
Something like The Age is left-wing.
The Green Left is a load of socialist tosh and is extreme left.
If you can't tell the fucking difference then I wouldn't be surprised to find out your favourite paper is the Daily Telegraph.

If you want facts you don't ask for them from somebody clearly partisan with a vested interested in the outcome.
I get the same problem on Chrome with regard to Facebook.
Not all the time, just occasionally. Other than that, Chrome is nice. Needs a 'save all tabs as bookmarks' feature like Firefox.
IE8 is crap.
I don't know. Would organ trading stop things like China from harvesting organs from political prisoners? Would it just give the black market even more incentive to harvest from unwilling participants?
I voted 'no' to organ trading, for the record.
