I definately agree with whoever made the point about chem being industrially focused, great if you want to be an engineer but painful otherwise. If you love metal, electical reactions and industry you'll love chem otherwise i dont recomend it at all.

have you thought about what you want to do for uni? Chem seems to open alot of doors, but it requires insane about of work to do well (probably like eco) but is quite dry and boring.

you can go into 'pathways', finish the subjects you are eligible for this year and then repeat the one you got kicked out of next year I know some one from my school who got kicked out of a subject in year 12 and did something similar, you may even be able to repeat that subject and do a tafe...
