I thought you were not allowed to sit UMAT til yr 12 otherwise you get a 3 year ban from sitting the UMAT again from ACER once they find out.

The thing is, people with 96th Percentiles for UMAT did not get considered for UWS medicine because they only weight 50% for section 3 and that is where people did get their scores up. So they counted it like 100% s1 and s2, 50% of s3 And if that new score's above 151, you're interviewed...

HSC doesn't "count just as much" in many many medical schools - trust me, I've applied to heaps. Sometimes the UAI cut off is quite low - generally low-90's to 95 and sometimes they use a "threshold" system, where as long as you get past that 95 UAI, you're judged purely on UMAT and Interview...

I personally think the Einstein UAI calculator is much better than SAM. SAM's effin' shit. google "Uai calculator" and dload the excel macro file for 2006. It's sooo much better.

Um are you kidding me? Dude 97+ UAI is definitely doable with 3 hours a night..less even. It depends on how effectively you use your time and how quickly you're able to learn things. Natural intelligence helps a little bit too for certain subjects. But really, "it's certainly not enough" =...

Depends on your UAI at certain unis. Above 200 is pretty awesome though and would help immensely. Lol. PS: Yeah I got an interview offer. :)

Should I just wing the interview or actually seriously prepare? I'm not expecting to actually get into UNSW med anyway, despite the interview offer.
