So does the majority of public school students. I always wondered why we don't just go to school on a monday?

Return to School! How do you feel?

How would you know that - you haven't experienced it :p I remember I was scared of Year 11 in the beginning of last year, but it ended up being alright. I'm also expecting the same thing in Year 12 - as long as you study and keep on top of things, you should be fine.

    Classes Before and After School??

Ditto. I had morning classes in Year 9 & 10 and i couldn't concentrate. I spent half the lesson complaining on having to turn up at 7.30 =)

    Back to Skool

Most schools will be going back on the 28th. The only exception I know is Hurlstone Agriculture - damn I envy that school. Anyway yeah - I think the only variations was because of the strike, but we all know that's not happening.

Re: Memorise, understand, practice Yeah that's good - however your sister would only have a limited range of papers. It's best if you can locate an archive of 5-10 years. I know with my school it's not a problem because we're part of the CSSA - so it's really easy to predict and study for...

    Study Groups

Haha - I think they didn't work for you because of the people you were around and sitting next to. As I've mentioned before - I am a firm believer of Study Groups and I think they work very well. But of course you'd expect a bit of procrastination and talking - but you can counter that by...

    Study Discussion

Re: Memorise, understand, practice Wow that is bad. Try asking your coordinator (or head teacher - or what ever public schools call them) and see if they have any. Or try checking the library - that's where ours are archived. Or even ask past students for papers.

    Classes Before and After School??

We don't now. But we used to in Year 9 & 10 for accelerated maths. Mornings at 7.30am =(

Re: Memorise, understand, practice Well in that case I would use past BGHS papers (almost revealed your school there). Like I'm pretty sure your school would archive every exam - I know my school does. Use questions from them to study. Then when it's time to study for HSC - use other school's...

    Back to Skool

I think it was a 12.5% increase - I guess there's no public school strike then. Doesn't matter - I still would've had to go to school on the Wednesday. =) Teachers win a pay increase | The Daily Telegraph

    Study Groups

Yeah - that's not attatched to a mall. Instead you end up walking for like 15 minutes to get to one :p I've been part of a study group - and it's worked for me. It's mainly where everyone does their own work and when anyone needed help then we could ask around.

How many page exercise book should i buy for year 11?

I'm pretty neat with my exercise book - some say I'm a perfectionist. But like that comes naturally with me - I don't do it conscientiously.

I would've stayed till Year 12 - cause I mean you're getting paid to go to school :p

What's everyone thinking/planning to do in the "big" holidays after the hsc?

    1. Sell all my HSC books/resources (as you can tell I'm asian and we don't burn if we can make money). 2. Get cool asian hair (damn catholic schools have been preventing me from getting this for the past 8 years) 3. Get a job 5. Learn to drive (red light means go right?) 4. Go out and make up...
