    Good to have smart friends?

That's stupid though - I mean those people take schooling to a whole new level. I reckon, just hang out and talk with the people you like and feel comfortable with - for social reasons, and if they can help or if you can help them - that's a bonus. Don't use people.

    Study Group

Re: Study Group Yaaaaaaaay LOL ... another study group. I'd be happy to do it - BUT I'm pretty sure it'll never work. Numerous attempts have been made to form one and location and time always seem to get the better of it.

    new english syllabus.. textbooks?

I disagree - I would like to supplement my teachers knowledge with extra information form other people and merge it in to get a really good idea. In saying that - I'm not buying the textbook - probably photocopy from the library, I'll go to Cabramatta library - they wont stop my photocopying...

What do you feel when you drop a subject?

I don't feel any of this shame or letting teachers down when dropping. I dropped Ext English and SOR2 - handed the forms with pride, and got my new timetable - with pride.

    Good to have smart friends?

I befriend people because I share common interests and ideas - not because of their smartness. However I do have smart friends - but I don't 'use' them.

is it bad to do 10 units?

If you feel confident enough with your ability in each of the 10 units - keep 10 units. However in some cases (e.g. distinction courses) you MUST have more than 10 units.

    Excel Guides

Excel - good if you supplement it with your main text book. Maths and Physics Excel is ok, Business Studies is rubbish. That's all I know so far.

We're a pretty sporty school, so sport is compulsory all through till the end of Year 12 - which is good imo, because I believe - you need a balance.

I would finish Year 12 whether my parents cared or not, but I reckon they'd want me to finish Year 12 even if I didn't want to.

    Post your handwriting 09ers

LOL - I guessed - got it right the first time! Anyway - i don't think a person's handwriting reflects their personality - I mean like my handwriting doesn't really reflect anything about me, well I hope not anyway. What if your handwriting doesn't slope? Yeah I used to like turning my book...

I remember I got told that the average mark for maths was 50-60% or something (for 2U) - but that's from my memory - correct me if I'm wrong.
