    i didn't forget, i used d/dx v^2/2 but i just found my silly mistake v = 2sin(x-1) + 2 v^2/2 = 2sin^(x-1) + 2sin(x-1) + 2 should have been a 4 oops

well first internally at my school didn't sit the exam because he's been in hospital for a long time (didn't sit trial either), so i can't imagine him being too happy :/ second is probs pretty happy tho

98 or 97 is my guess. i feel like e4 cutoff will be lower but top range will be a little tighter. the paper really wasn't very graded difficulty wise, q16 was a lot easier than usually and q11/12 was a lot harder

yep i think this will be the downfall of most people in circle geo. even if they went a really longwinded way around, they assumed it was collinear in their proof (i know a few people who did)

2007 had 1 question but it was balls easy (literally felt like it was from q12 of a 3U paper) but that's the closest it's been i'm pretty sure :P

yes sorry i forgot to mention it's valid to use XPY = QPR, which i did use in my proof

you can't use vertically opposite angles, that involves the assumption that they are already collinear. i proved vert opposite of APX and RPC using the sum of the angles about P = 360 and APX = DPQ, YPB = RPC you end up with APX = RPC therefore collinear also, i go to penrith :)

the only issue i'm having is that i did d/dx v^2/2 in order to check it, and it didn't work :S

i used the sum of 360 around point P then showed that APX = RPC which means APC is collinear since they were vertically opposite

hopefully!! expecting a silly mistake or 2 in some of the valued questions like t method and volumes, but i checked them in my spare time before i reattempted circle geo (which i finished messily as she said pens down)

if you break it up as f(-x) you get + f(-x) not - f(-x)! i nearly fell for that

that was a really disappointing 4U paper to be honest. having a standalone 3 mark integral in the last q was upsetting, and everything but the circle geo in q16 was really straight forward and easy. i bet 90% of the people who attempted circle geo part ii will have assumed that they were...

    correct should be Q1. D Q2. A Q3. B Q4. C Q5. C Q6. D (made a silly mistake in the exam though :( ) Q7. B (differentiate to check) Q8. B Q9. B (not sure about this but when i checked A using d(v^2/2)/dx it didn't work) Q10.D (split it into f(x) + f(-x) between 0 and a then use f(a-x) theorem on...
