    Critique my answer

I don't think you need to go through all baryons and mesons. You need to know all the different flavours of quarks and leptons and their electronic charges. You need to state that protons are made up by 2 up and 1 down quark and neutron is made of 1 up and 2 down (I just checked my notes, so...

    Critique my answer

Bally didn't finish it? :O I don't think you need to know about Bosons. Also, you need to actually know (ie. MEMORISE) the electronic charge of all the different flavours and their names (ie. up, down, charm, strange etc). You need to know what makes up a proton and electron. (Not sure about...

    PARAMRETICS: Chord of Contact.

I believe that's the only equation you can memorise and not have to be able to derive in the parametrics locus topic.

    Complex numbers question

Find the roots of z^4+1=0 and show them in an Argand diagram. Resolve z^4+1 into real quadratic factors. Hence deduce that cos2x=2[cosx-cos(pi/4)][cosx-cos(3pi/4)]. I can do the first bit of sketching it on the Argand diagram... Thanks.

General Solutions to sinx and cosx

    You don't need to know how to derive them. Although it's quite obvious in my opinion. Just look at the graphs of these functions. If\ sinx=sin\alpha\ then\ sinx=180^{\circ}n + (-1)^n\alpha \\ If\ cosx=cos\alpha\ then\ x=360^{\circ}n \pm \alpha \\ If\ tanx=tan\alpha\ then\ x=180^{\circ}n+\alpha...

Wow sounds like those cram schools in Japan... Also, usually Extension 2 students also do Extension 1 (unless they accelerate) so whoever came up with that timetable is a real genius:skip:.

    Trapezoidal Rule

Uhh.. sorry if I'm not getting this.. But what exactly would I write in an exam if I got that question? (ie. how would I 'formally' show it?) Thanks

    Trapezoidal Rule

    Uhh, what exactly is that?

    Trapezoidal Rule

Well the graph is given in the question... So I'd write something like "As the curve is concave down for 0<=x<=2, therefore the approx. under estimate the integral" ?

    Trapezoidal Rule

Use the Trapezoidal rule with 5 function values to approximate \int_0^2 log_e(2x+1)dx and show that this approximation underestimates the value of the integral, without evaluating the integral by direct integration. [3 marks] Thanks
