If you're rank 3/15 then you will get the 3rd mark in the HSC exams as your internal mark So you're internal mark might only be 70% but if everyone does well in the exam and the top marks are 97, 92, 88 and you scored 85 then your internal mark will be 88 and your exam mark is 85 Thats how...

The problem with being ranked last is that you recieve the bottom assessment mark So you might get 70 say but someone else screws up the exam and gets 50 then your internal mark will become 50 If everyone does well then it's still possible to do ok.
