an unfortunate name for an intern

You mean Mr Butcher: The Surgeon, it would give some patients quite a fright if staff addressed him as MR instead of Doctor and the other non-surgeon's as doctors, without explaining the history.

Unfair disadvantage: 'Gorbachev' directly inferred in Cold War question.

Woah, that's a bit strange for someone from baulko, so your not the average stereotypical asian from baulko or ruse. Adult ducks or cute little ducklings? Do you have a large yard or farm, it must be noisey having ducks in a residential area.

How did you find the chem exam?

Band 6 is prob going to be around 82-83% raw as you are marked according to a marking criteria(one day of pilot marking is carried about before the chem marking begins, thus they setup the marking criteria set against the avg responses of each band mark) for harder questions 3-4 marks+...

Unfair disadvantage: 'Gorbachev' directly inferred in Cold War question.

True, the question asked is directly from the syllabus, but the analysis of his role in the international and national stage as well as his role with events shaping people vice versa set the basis of the Cold War question vice versa. i.love.my.duck.: I thought u were from my school when u...

    Radioisotope

Yeah same, yeah your allowed to do that as long as you tell the marker(well write on the yellow page of the question refer to booklet) on that page that you have a booklet and you wrote the same question number and section onto the booklet and that you declared it on the blue form you should be...

Unfair disadvantage: 'Gorbachev' directly inferred in Cold War question.

I thought u were talking about my school for a minute, our teacher has a hernia just before the hsc and we had to rush through Cold War and Gorbachev with a substitute. woah Baulko thats the 2nd best school in the state, Don't you have that text book writter as your teacher Dennis Mootz? or...

    Anyone Else Abhore Personality Question?

Yeh i had a convoluted argument about it, 'Events shape people more than people shape events.' I argued against it, claiming that Gorbachev was an opportunist, but he shaped the events, such as his own reforms of 'Glasnost' and 'Perestoika' which spelled the demise of the Soviet Union and i said...

just came home after doing modern

Everyone was so happy at our school because out teacher made a list of all the past questions and she clearly told us Foreign policy hadn't been asked in ages.

Unfair disadvantage: 'Gorbachev' directly inferred in Cold War question.

Yes but it is minute and im talking about the content of exams and questions. They should not directly overlap each other, thus it is a clear advantage to some students who studied Gorbachev's policies which influenced domestic and international policy, thus led to the end of the Cold War. This...

    What a great paper!

The Germany questions were highly predictable, out teacher at the beginning of the year told us it was probably going to be foreign policy, so thats what i studied, i also studied the period of 'relative calm' and the whole culture thing for the Weimar republic. I predicted that today's...

    Weimar Republic

Nope, i was stoked i predicted both questions. Look at all the past papers and you will see that foriegn policy hasn't been inferred to for a long time, while the cultral artistic flourish/boom of the Weimar period has never been asked.

just came home after doing modern

Yes Foreign Policy and the periods of relative peace for Weimar Germany was clearly predictable, thats the only two things that i studied for because i looked at all of the past questions over the last 20 years and they were never directly asked or inferred upon.

    Gorbachev and Cold War!!

I agree i had a clear and distinct advantage, what i wrote for the individual case study i regurgitated for the Cold war quesiton. I did Germany, Gorbachev and Cold War.

Unfair disadvantage: 'Gorbachev' directly inferred in Cold War question.

whoops unfair advantage* ^^^ I just did the exam today and discovered the similatrities within the exam: 13 a) Describe the role played by the personality you have studied in national And/or international history. b) 'Events shape people more than people shape events.' How accurate...

    Ok, one horrible word: CLOUDSTREET

You should of paid attention to the markers notes last year aswell. I found it to be alot better than last year, being so general and unspecific compared to last year. If you had been better prepared and not solely/mainly focused on setting, you should have been able to answer this...

    What were the Questions?

I 1B) Shakespeare and Drama 'Transformations' require an imaginative reshaping of significant elements of a text for new contests. Select TWO significant elements of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet' and analyse how they are reshaped to create meaning in Stoppard's 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are...
