When we say pa (per annum) it is compounded yearly.
So:
A_1=5000(1+0.06)
A_2=5000(1.06)^2+5000(1.06)
A_3=5000(1.06)^3+5000(1.06)^2+5000(1.06)
and so on for 10 years:
A_{10}=5000(1.06)^{10}+5000(1.06)^9+...+5000(1.06)
