I've noticed if you achieve 98+ some uni's won't give bonus points, I think ANU is one of them.

I'm not sure what to make of bonus points given by uni's personally. I think there are pros and cons. My problem is uni's giving them to students that don't meet the clearly in. I feel like it could set them up for failure if their cohort is perceived as being brighter (having achieved a...

I thought so. I literally cringe every time I here her tell someone she received an 89 ATAR - liarrr!

I call BS :) Seriously though, answer this for me? One girl I know received an ATAR of 85, she was eligible for 4 bonus points. She went around telling everyone she received 89. Can you actually claim your ATAR is X, and include bonus points? I find that misleading.

You've got this. You'll definitely be one of the best prepped students. ATAR Goal: 99.90 easily attainable.* *Disclaimer: Hard work still required.

Is it ok to not have 'limitations' when annotating a source?

No, not ancient/modern (they're much easier!), this is an English assessment set by a fresh graduate (literally graduated end of 2015). Basically we have to conduct research on a contemporary issue such as global warming, binge drinking, et cetera, use 14 sources, discard research and write an 8...

Is it ok to not have 'limitations' when annotating a source?

I accessed the final version through my schools system: http://psycnet.apa.org/journals/bul/135/1/142/ I'm not sure if you'll need a password to view. This is a draft of the final version (no password required): http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2748736/ The only words that jump out...

Is it ok to not have 'limitations' when annotating a source?

Hi there, I have to do an annotation assignment. I'm in year 12 and this is the first one I have had to do. It's an 8 step process that we're meant to follow (citation, scope, limitations, conclusions, et cetera). One source I've used, I feel doesn't have limitations. Would it be ok to state...

Does anyone else get the munchies after school? Regrettably, my snacks this afternoon were actually meant to be tonight's dinner.. Apologies to my mum for eating that punnet of sweet perino's, the olives, eating the relish as a dip, and putting the feta on my crackers, too. I think...

    Marriage equality

Exactly. Government policies contradict each other. The sex discrimination act for example: The Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) (the SDA) makes it against the law to treat you unfairly because of your: sex; gender identity; intersex status; sexual orientation; marital or relationship status...

    Marriage equality

There's currently 3 marriage amendment bills and 1 plebiscite bill awaiting action. I do not support the general public voting on this issue. Australia has passed other human rights legislation without a 'people's vote'. As a heterosexual myself, I support marriage equality. Same sex...

Who actually manages to finish assessments before the due date?

I currently have 4 assessments on the go. Some are due on the same day, others are a week apart. Prioritise them based on the due date. Ideally you should be chipping away at each of them. Even if you answer 1 question per day for each assignment. Personally I like to start on them...
