That's very true. Very difficult to tell. However if I got 8 marks ahead of 2nd place, then it was another 5 marks to 3rd place and my school marks easy, then wow that's still a pretty big gap. My teacher has been a HSC marker many times and her classes generally get the band 6s and the higher...

To get a State Rank in English (Advanced) would you need to pretty much get 105/105? What do you all think will be the Raw Marks for Band 6 etc? I was wondering iwhether I'd have a shot at getting a State Rank... I got 103/105 for the trial and got first place in the trial by 8 marks, as well...

I'm with suling... Cheating is wrong and definitely would not be worth it. For one you could risk getting zero or an even worse penalty and secondly, would you really feel happy with yourself if you got a good mark because of cheating? I think you would feel guilty and like you don't deserve it...

So when you say that, how well do you think I need to go in my subjects by raw marks, just as a rough guideline perhaps?

What kind of mark do you guys recon you would need for a state rank in english advanced? Pretty high I'm assuming. How do the raw marks align with scaled for it too if anyone knows?

Yeah I'm aiming for it too! :) I agree, 97 would be good. If I get below 95 I will not be happy :( I'm kinda similar to you... I don't do history though... my ranks are in my signature ;)
