Can you explain what EzyText is?

I think its because they couldn't reply to my email. I used my school email to contact them firstly, then a few days later they closed all our email accounts. I heard other people got email replies, so I suppose this was the only way they could contact me. Thanks though, now I hope they hold...

Hehe I applied for flexible entry into USYD engineering. They had vacancies, and I got a phone call last week telling me they would give me an offer for tonight.

I'm pretty sure you're eligible for all preferences above the offer you got in the main round. If you didn't get an offer, well I suppose you're eligible for everything then.

What university are you going to?

I got a main round offer for UNSW computer science/arts, but I'm expecting a late round offer at USYD engineering/arts. So if anyone wants that spot at UNSW, it should be available for the final round. :P

Are you in NSW now? Because you'll have to enrol on Friday at the uni if you get a late round offer. You might as well ask them about getting into civil engi while you're there. I assume we do the same things as you do in QLD. Depends on what you like doing...

I don't know of anything with a cutoff that low, but you could try computer science type programs. There are quite a few with cutoffs in the 70~ range.

If most private school students can handle it, I'm sure you can. The guy at my school who got dux and 99.95 UAI played sport after school twice a week and on saturdays, and even play at lunch break and various other times. Its not too hard if you manage your time well.

Re: Laptop What do you need it for? If you're doing something like design computing, you'd probably need to spend a bit more than if you only needed it for typing text...

I use a blue or black pen and I get them from the newsagent. Sometimes I even use a pencil.

What did they tell you they were giving you an offer for? If you do have engineering (flexible) as your offer, I think you can just go straight into civil after a semester or a year of study. You might need to check though seeing as you didn't meet the cutoff for civil.

You're still getting an offer for civil engineering though I believe. The flexible entry just means you got in without reaching the cutoff. I know because I applied for it and got a phone call and they told me I would get an offer in the late round. :D

I assumed that much lol
