How difficult are exams for maths classes?

Of course, Im just shocked because I dont think I have ever had an exam in less than 45 minutes. And with only 3-4 questions. It's completely new to me. Do people tend to run out of time?

How difficult are exams for maths classes?

Hold on. I found this in the questions for MATH1081. Is this an entire typical class exam? For real?

How difficult are exams for maths classes?

(Also quote 4025808; phone is shit for posting) To be honest, I was expecting HSC maths kind of difficulty in order to get a spread, but I suppose in Uni you are meant to be able to pass if you actually understand most of the content. Would you say the final exams are comparable to HSC maths?

How difficult are exams for maths classes?

I'm currently in MATH1131 and MATH1081, but feel free to talk about other courses too. How difficult is it to get, for example, a credit mark in their exams?

Does the workload decrease later in the degree?

Definitely. Even 4 units of maths went at half the pace of one maths course in Uni, I reckon. The school hours include revision and study. Thanks for the reply. For whatever reason, I didn't realise that you get control of how difficult your degree is once you get past the core subjects, so...

Does the workload decrease later in the degree?

Good point. I only did 10 units in high school and had hour-and-a-half of breaks, but that still makes the uni timesheet equal-or-less-than high school like you said. I suppose the travel and large timetable gaps just make it feel like more. Either way, I still want to know how the workload...

Does the workload decrease later in the degree?

Current courses: COMP1511 (Intro to Programming), MATH1081 (Discrete), MATH1131 (Math 1A) and PSYC1001 (Psychology, WEB course) At the moment, I have 19 hours a week of lectures, tuts and labs, plus 3 hours of web-lectures, a maths online tut, and various "do at your own pace" assessments. Add...

Discrete Maths can't enroll in lecture

HEY GUYS It's not full; it's reserved. CompSci can still get in. If you want proof, I posted a timetable in that timetable thread without Discrete Maths (after this thread was created, maybe page 2?) and then posted my current timetable (on page 4?) which has Discrete Maths...

What's the grill-to-boy ratio for both Computer Science AND Software Engineering?

Exactly. And from what I've seen, these prejudices may be harmful to those she may interact with in class. (It's kind of ironic)

What's the grill-to-boy ratio for both Computer Science AND Software Engineering?

By who? Sounds pretty sexist. Honestly, Queenroot and turntaker are spot on. Good posts. I hold the idea that there is no reason to care what someone says in your absence, unless it can help you become a better person. I'm sure we all have more important things than listening to a...

What's the grill-to-boy ratio for both Computer Science AND Software Engineering?

It's simple science. *Generally speaking*, this field is famous for having a lot of socially awkward virgin men. A few of them deal with their frustration with hatred and/or objectification of women. As with a lot of groups, this is most likely a loud minority.
