Present from Dr_Fresh to potential medical students

Just a note- The GAMSAT tests Chemistry to the first year undergraduate level, not year 12 chemistry as previously noted. The level of knowledge required, in particular for organic chemistry, is a bit more in depth than year 12 chemistry, although some questions you will be able to answer with...

@ gwenwiver- no, the score that the poster has referred to- which was 85, was a minimum score set by the uni 'the 2012 Minimum ATAR for the Bachelor of Environments is 85. This means all students who achieve an ATAR of 85 or above will be considered for a place. The Minimum ATAR is not a...

Pros and Cons for tertiary education at ANU

I cant speak of the quality of business subjects, but the science and mathematics department at ANU is excellent. The majority of your mathematics professors will be leading researchers in their field and the range of subjects is great and caters to varying levels of abilities. Having only...

My ATAR score is 0.05 short from the minimum entry requirements.. Help!

Honestly, i dont think your chances are very high as the trend in previous years has been that the clearly in rank has been higher than the minimum score. Clearly in rank is for students who gain entry just on the basis of their scores. A number of students will receive offers through...

    Would anyone believe this?

At first look i didnt 'study' that much for my exams either. I probably did 4 hours for two days before hand for eah subject. In all honesty i did not study(as in sit down and actually study) that much throughout the year. But if you had a close look i had a pretty consistent effort else where...

Why is my VCE so undervalued in England..?

woah, such harsh words floating around in this thread (i hardly think 89 is a poor score). well in anycase, i do agree with the advice some of the other people have given you; that is, just do an undergrad degree here and then apply for postgrad in the UK.

    Westpac Maths Comp!

Ive got HD/prize ever since year 7 with the prudence award (though it was called a special achievement award when i was in year 7) as well and i still wouldnt call this competition "easy" as such. A number of questions are simple but the contrary is also true, some are quite complex and can stun...

    A question for everyone

The Bachelor of Arts (Media and communication) at The UoM sounds like a good degree for you. Although you will have to check whether this degree is still offered. It is quite competitive to get in though. The UAI for entry from school is 97.6 and to transfer it was a distinction average.

    Umat prep course???

from what i hear the courses are not worth it (i had friends who did medentry). I personally didnt do any of those prep courses but i did buy there one of their practice question booklets and dissected the questions to see what they were testing. There is a book called "UK clinical aptitude test...
