    Med/Law

Well i don't think that you should do it if the only reason is to 'honour the family name'. That would be suicide. i think you should only go for a med/law combo if you are very interested in the course. it is 8 years of your life (well in my case 9 years of my life... doesnt that sound exciting...

    Med/Law

Well i am kinda doing Med/Law but not concurrently. I am currently doing Law/Science at ANU and have a provisional offer to study grad medicine upon completion(assuming i past the threshold on the GAMSAT) of my double degree. i think that law will be helpful if i ever get sued for malpractice...

    ANU for sciences

Great to see someone interested in the smae combo that i am doing. As far as ANU science goes, it is on par with the likes of the other GO8 universities. It is the postgraduate research where ANU really stands at the summit. If you are considering doing honours then perhaps ANU is well worth the...

    UTS vs. ANU for Law

Melbourne university actually published a ranking of Australian Law universities which went 1. ANU 2.Melb uni 3. Sydney uni So yes, ANU is actually regarded as higher than UTS( which ranked 12th) To be honest, Sydney uni carries with it much more prestige than ANU (just my opinion), so if the...

    ANU vs. Harvard for LAW.

UAI of 129? well u will have no problem getting into Harvard with that UAI, but that's not really a legitimate score. To get into Harvard Law you are going to need atleast a Distinction average and an LSAT score in the high 170's (out of a possible 180). I was informed that it should cost you...

Who's afraid of the big scary law degree?

Im actually doing my torts assignment now (procrastinating of course:bomb:). I guess law has started out pretty dry and Foundations isn't a particularly engaging subject but its not so bad. Its changing the way i think though (haha look at all the crime around us "was that ordinary conduct?!!")

Financial aid is quite generous but it is also based partly on your parents income. it would cost approx 60k a year to study at harvard.

    Elite universities... :s

nah its not the early offer program. its for international students like you said. if your interested you should call the admission office. you just need to make it clear that you need a decision before their actual release because your offer in aus will lapse

    Elite universities... :s

I got into harvard and my TER is as illustrated in my signature. In the interview they were actually very interested in my extra-curricula involvement so you may want to join a couple of clubs and societies at school. It is best you be in only 1 or 2 clubs but be really involved in them than to...

    Best uni for studying Law?

Correct me if im wrong but they do not apply bonus points for entry to a law degree. and as for best uni to study law well in my opinion the best uni for law would be the uni of melb. it has a stellar international reputation which could be quite useful when seeking employment. well as they...

which uni needs the lowest UAI for physiotherapy?

Melbourne university doesn't have a clear cut-off score but i know that they accept people with enter/uai scores around the 96 mark with a percentile ranking of around 50 for the umat. similarly Monash considers applicants above 96.

So how much does a Doctor really earn?

Lawyers with a 36k a year average? thats ludicrous! the average salary for a lawyer fresh out of law school is in the mid forties and progressively increases from there. you are looking at an average of 150K a year for the profession as a whole and 300K+ a year if you make partner. Just an...
