    UAC advice notice?

The ATAR advice notice is basically just a hard copy of your atar and what units counted towards it They sent them out today so you may receive it in the post today or next week (most likely Monday)

    EAS Letter

Yep, at every uni When you make two claims, do you get two eligibility forms? Or do they just merge them into one?

Immigrant Chronicle -Peter Skrzynecki + related texts?

As long as they aren't on the BOS prescribed text list they should be fine! For som more options I used Gone with the wind(film)- barriers to belonging, belonging and not belonging to a place Mansfield Park (mini tv series from the 80s)- societal clashes causing barriers to belonging, belonging...

    How many hours?

+1 couldn't have said it better myself. I personally couldn't focus for more than 45 minutes at a time without a substantial break. I would say I worked hard but more importantly EFFECTIVELY.

What was your childhood dream job, and what is it now?

Then: Doctor (thank god I changed my mind.... those atars are crazy), teacher, psychologist Now: speech pathologist I'd call that integrating things well without the stress of a completely unattainable atar

    Help IRP

Case study for an IRP- you're going to have a bad time :/ A true case study addresses change over time, they can be carried out over years Survey is decent, I gather you're already using questionnaires? Have you considered interviews? Your topic is interesting, maybe reword it though as it's a...

    PIP ideas???

Influence on who exactly? Perhaps compare this to age groups, how it effects teens, adults, the aged etc. It could be related back to the original Asian influx (for lack of a better term!!) into Australia and how the mentality surrounding this (the white Australia policy for example) has...

    are these topics too sensitive

Gender neutrality is very interesting if you wanted a less risky topic You could look into the socialisation of our children and the effects of this Perhaps narrow it to a specific age range, or culture and compare If you add a twist to a topic like that, your PIP becomes different to the rest...

    Is this a good topic?

Perhaps narrow it a little more, to give it a bit of a twist. Maybe isolate it to helicopter parenting in one culture and compare this to another? Few things: - how are you defining helicopter parenting? One persons idea of over parenting may be very different to anothers - how are you defining...

Could I be able to answer my hypothesis in this topic properly?

What do you mean by "biological reasons" Our choices aren't in our genetic makeup. Perhaps you could address whether this influence comes from familial expectations, societal expectations based on gender, or our own personal experiences. Not too sure what you mean by "weight". Primary and...

someone put my mind at rest please

I'm not sure what your school is like, but I know in year 11 we were threatened with being dropped especially in english as we had so many advanced classes. This never actually happened, and a lot of people failed and stayed there! The thing to do is do your best, and if you are dropped down...

    Year 10 vs Year 11

Whilst the gap is pretty big, one positive (or negative... depending on how you see it!) is that your teachers are usually more democratic in their teaching style. This might depend on your school but I found that teachers became more accessible, meaning that you got a greater amount of...

Difference between Yr 10 History and Modern

Year 10 was incredibly boring. That's not to say Australian history is boring, it's just the bits they choose to teach aren't being presented in an interesting way. Plus it creates very narrow viewpoints on history by only teaching ONE interpretation of ONE country's past. If you did elective...

Worried about first assessent task mark and tips to get back on track?

That shouldn't be a problem. I had the same assessment task and got a similar mark in a school ranked far lower. My overall ranking at the time was not good at all, but by the end of the HSC year my rank had lifted to the top 10. Ranks (especially when it's the first assessment task) can vary...
