How much are people getting in the 3U exam on average?

1-2 marks of slip ups is fine. Just sit down with a few Q7s and work at them till you get it without the answers. It will drive you insane but they will start to get easier.

How much are people getting in the 3U exam on average?

Where are you losing most of your marks? If it's silly mistakes then find ways to type answers into the calculator for double checking. If it's time practice to get quicker. If it's a specific topic I guess go back to the textbook.

    Just to clarify something...

If you top then your assesment mark is the top external mark of the class.

    Post your half yearlies grades

Ah okay. Yeah ours was pretty easy, average was like 70s and four people got over 90. Do you reckon you could upload/send a copy of your paper? I'd be curious to see what other schools are doing.

    Post your half yearlies grades

Haha no way, my school isn't that good. We were 83 in '09. Not sure about last year, but it was >100. The reason we have so many in MX1/phys/chem is cause we get like 50 asian international students at the start of year 11 that are boss at maths. They all do phys/chem/3u and the top ones get...

    Which textbook for Integration/Volumes/Mechanics

I have the worked solutions to Cambridge + Fitzpatrick as well. I'm thinking more in terms of the quality of the questions.

    Which textbook for Integration/Volumes/Mechanics

For self teaching, which of the textbooks would be best to use for each of these topics? I've heard somewhere that Cambridge is a bit dodgy for mechanics. Also, is it worth doing the chapters on Harder 3U in the textbooks or just go straight to the past papers/Bill Pender's thing.

Any 4u maths students cbf with 2u?

Our school makes you accelerate 2u if you want to do MX2, so we did it last year. But we still have to study it cause like half of the 3u test they set is on 2u topics.

    stuff up in exam

In my opinion its just a matter of doing enough past papers that it just comes naturally. Make sure you do them in exam conditions and time yourself and you should get used to it.

    4u topics

Logs and trig are really easy you should be able to pick it up fine if you wanted to do it on your own. It really just depends on whether you have enough time to do it though. I wouldn't worry too much about it for 4u graphs though if you can do exponentials then logs are pretty much the same.

    Circle Geometry Question

Hi, I am stuck on a circle geometry problem and I'd appreciate any help :) I'm not sure how to put a picture of the diagram up here so I'll explain it as best I can.
