    Mechatronics?

Hey I was just wondering is mechatronics worthwhile? Is it better than an individual mechanical or electrical degree? If someone doing it could please tell me what its like I'd be very thankful. Also ive heard that many employers don't know what a mechatronics engineer does, so finding a job...

    subject study

Hey I was thinking of making a study plan where I study one subject a night every day, Im not sure how much I should study each one though because different subjects require a different workload. So as a percentage how much should I study each of my subjects as a %? I do chem, physics...

    Conics

The things you should know are the foci, directix's, asymptotes (of the hyperbola), b^2=a^2(1-e^2) & b^2=a^2(e^2-1), PS/PM=e, the e of a rectangular hyperbola is always sqrt(2) and b=a, also that c^2=xy business just learn how to derive the equations and most of them are very simmilar between...

What would the set of numbers of the form kz...

it would just be every complex number on the complex plane, k=rcis(theta) kz means a rotation of theta (for 0<=theta<=2pi) and a lengthening of r (probably not the best wording) of the ray of z seeing as both r and theta are unbounded the new modulus and argument can be any value

    Difficulty of each topic?

yeah maths in focus, im pretty sure its the standard that most schools use. was the polynomial work you did in year 11 ext 1? i found it kind of imtimidating at first but now its simple crap

    Difficulty of each topic?

the questions states that P'(x) has two roots not equal to alpha beta or gamma it doesnt say there are only 2 roots, just that 2 of them are not aplha beta or gamma.

    Hard Chemistry Concepts

okay so i kinda know this, i know that it was used to find absolute zero where if you were to decrease hydrogen gasses volume to 0 the temperature would approach absolute zero. i dont really know how to explain it though, just know the relationship

    Extremely off result for titration

and why isnt this in chemistry?

    Extremely off result for titration

you should only take an average of the ones that werent rough, probably exclude the first two seeing as you stated you did the last 3 with care

    Difficulty of each topic?

to show there are two roots (beside alpha beta and gama) all you need to do is state that there are 2 solutions to the quadratic [1] =/= alpha, beta or gamma therefore there are two roots to P'(x) =/= alpha, beta or gamma

    Difficulty of each topic?

Nice! would this be a question you would expect in the HSC or is this more of a 'test your understanding' type question?

    Help me with this question?

firstly (4-x)^2 can be written as (x-4)^2, which will make it easier to answer the question i) x>=4 this can be seen visually or you can differntiate the function to find the minumum turning point then find which side is increasing ii)y=sqrt(x)+4, the domain in g(x) is restricted to x>=4...

    Graphing Question

if given a f(x) in y=log(f(x)), use where it equals 0 to draw verticle asymptotes, and where f(x)<0 y=log(f(x)) does not exist so you dont draw anything for those x values, also when f(x)=1 log(f(x))=0 keep in mind that if there is a minimum turning point on the x axis (such as f(x)=x^2 at 0)...

    Difficulty of each topic?

a question on polynomials, not sure if this is a common type of question or if its from any past paper, i recieved it from an ext 2 workshop $The only roots of a polynomial P(x) are $\alpha$, $\beta$ and $\gamma$ where $\alpha$ is r-fold, $\beta$ is s-fold and $\gamma$ is t-fold.$\\$Show that...

Hey, there was an example in the Terry Lee text book in the rectangular hyperbola section which i generally get, just one thing i dont understand, here is the question Example 5.8. PQ is a chord of the rectangular hyperbola xy=c^2. if PQ has a constant length of k, find the locus of R, the...
