Sydney University to overhaul undergraduate degrees, research

haha I didn't mention it, because I wasn't sure if I was willing to begin another "usyd=elitist" discussion haha.

    Past Papers.

For ACCT1501, you could do other questions from the textbook and/or study guide, and also have a go at the practice exam paper put on moodle last week. There are no past papers, as far as I'm aware. For MGMT1001, there are no past papers, and besides the topics and the overall paper radically...

    actuarial exemptions

That is very true. But its >$1000 plus one semester for redoing a course vs $500 or so for resitting a CT exam :)

    actuarial exemptions

Also, feel free to point out any mistakes made above or give any further suggestions. I'm looking to constantly add to the post, especially since this thread has become quite outdated!

    actuarial exemptions

Just thought I'd post some updated information about actuarial exemptions at UNSW for all actuarial degrees which began in 2014 or after - Part I So, Part I is made up of 8 Core Technical (CT) areas. And, to get exemptions for Part I at UNSW, you have obtain an overall average of 65 or above...

    The UNSW Scaling Thread

So, VBN, I read through the thread you linked and I sorta get what those guys mean, but do you have any comments as a whole on MATH1151 scaling, from your own experiences? I especially ask, as that thread is also quite old...

    The UNSW Scaling Thread

Guys, I am curious. Is scaling down really fair and viable, when scaling down might lead to a student who say got 52 raw overall (and hence passed the course) receiving a Fail?? How does it work??

    The UNSW Scaling Thread

VBN and co (e.g. 4025808, nightweaver etc), could you quantify the scaling in MATH1151? Generally, how much, if you had to have a guess?

Maths or Science compulsory for Year 11/12 Students

Maths or Science compulsory for Year 11/12 Students

But then you get the problem of students putting very little effort and learning very little, if you make something non assessable. Its like how we rejoice upon being notified something is not examinable and hence don't touch it or worry about it. Similarly, if the subject is non-assessable...

    Double Major possibility

However, Cleavage and OP, please do take note of one of Business School's rule - "If a student chooses to complete a second major, and the Majors have courses in common, a student may be permitted to have up to 6 UOC counted towards each Major sequence." That means regardless of any business...

    Double Major possibility

Would you go for CPA or CA accreditation? Because if you do, iirc, it adds on at least another three courses you have to do. If not, then by my calculations to do a finance/accounting double major in actl/comm, you would have to do two subjects through overloading/summer term/extra semester.

    Double Major possibility

    Yep that is definitely true!!

    Double Major possibility

Did he overload any semesters or do any subjects in the summer term, out of curiosity? Because if he didn't, that sounds about right, considering normal duration of Comm / Law is 5 years.
