What ATAR would you get if you got mid to high band 5s in every subject?

I put in 85 for all of them, projected 87.7. I put in 90 for all of them, projected 94.5. So mid-high band 5's is ~90.

    Cut Offs - Raw Marks

No worries, it may have in fact been 82 one year, I dunno. :)

    Options

Don't worry about the option you do. They all get aligned differently (eg. a 20/25 in one option is not equal to a 20/25 in another). So, if the Board of Studies determines Genetics to be more difficult than another, Genetics will align better (eg. a 16/25 in Genetics might equal 21/25 in...

    Cut Offs - Raw Marks

Where are you getting 84% for Biology from? http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=269573 I compiled a ton of raw marks, in 2009 a 70 went up to an 86, and an 82 went up to a 92. I estimated the average cutoff to be 79/100.

    Raw Mark Scale

    These are estimates, based on the difficulty of the exam. Can't guarantee accuracy. Left column is raw mark (out of 84), right column is estimated aligned exam mark. 80 - 99 70 - 96 60 - 93 50 - 86 40 - 80 30 - 72 Thus, at a guess, E4 cut off is ~54/84.

Help me figure out my ATAR?

I think you guys are being a little too harsh. 80/105 for Advanced is, at worst, an ~87. 78 for Legal is, at worst, an ~84. Threw in all those HSC Marks into a calculator, gave 89.

Chem: 72/100 MX1 E4: 56/84 MX1 E3: 44/84 2U: 97/120 Music: 87/100 Drama: 85/100 English Adv: 77/100 Music and Drama are mere guesses, don't assume they're correct. Also, do note that they change every year according to the difficulty of the paper, so these may not be 100% accurate.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

Well done, but I didn't learn content outside of the syllabus, so I did it the easier way of just getting a common denominator.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

The confusing partial fractions meant you had to get a common denominator with the first two fractions (a/x and b/x^2) of x^2, then simplify the top. So, ax + b/x^2. Then the rest is normal.
