Is it necessary to state that in the exam? Also, how do you find domain and range of this 3sininverse(root(1-x^2))

    Inverse Help

    Hi guys, I'm doing this exam question and need some assistance. 1. Given y=sininverse(cosx) (i) Find dy/dx I don't understand why the answer is y dash = -1 for 0<x<pi or = 1 for -pi<x<0 My working out was y dash = -sinx/absolute values(sinx) I don't understand the...

    Complex/surd conjugates

When you say rational coefficients, you mean where numbers can be expressed as a fraction right? Also, I have another question: P(z) = z^4 + (1-2i)z^2 -2i. i is a root of this equation. Explain why -i is also a root. I can't talk about the conjugate root theorem right? So how do I explain...

    Complex/surd conjugates

My question: I know that if the coefficients of P(x) is real, that means the complex conjugate is real if there is a complex root. However, what if there is a surd root? e.g root5, would the conjugate -root5 also be a root?

How to get rid of sodium hydroxide

So I watched this movie Fight Club, and there was this scene where Tyler kisses this guys hand to wetten it, and puts lye (sodium hydroxide) on it. I know that sodium hydroxide is a strong alkaline, which means "a base that dissolves in water". So washing sodium hydroxide off with water, would...
