I think this is somewhat appropriate.

They did to 3 unit what they did to 4 unit. They just changed up the order of difficulty of the questions. Question 6 was pretty doable, so to compensate for that question 5 was harder. I'm just glad there was no ridiculous probability stuff like last year's question 7.

Well, yeah, they told you to prove that k = ln5/3. Note that, as others have said above, -ln3/5=ln5/3.

In terms of actual question difficulty, I don't think anything was "not-doable". What made the paper more difficult was timing - given an extra 10 mins it would've been possible to nut it all out.

I think 96 is a very generous estimate for 72. Last year an 80/84 was 98. Take it with a grain of salt - I know everyone comes on here saying it was hard, but its like that after every exam. Doing an exam under pressure and time =/= doing it in the comfort of your own home (or library, or...

Re: holy fucking shit i might as well just die now. It all depends on the cutoffs. I don't think BOS is a representative sample of the state. Probably a low band 6: ~93 perhaps. If the cutoff drops then you may of course get higher. At this stage It's all speculation based on previous trends...

Yup. a total of 30/120 in questions 1&2 will get you the same thing as 30/120 from questions 7&8.

Err, lol doubt it. Simply arent enough teachers. It's marked by 2 people, and if there is a large disparity in the marks, it is given to a senior marker who then gives you your final mark.

I guess it depends on what method you use get there. I'll admit, for part (iii) my method was pretty fudgey. Hope I still get the mark though.. :S
