    I really hope this isn't the case, but the matrix atar calculator takes you down if you get low marks in one subj even if it's 12 units total...

    I don't wing mate, I'm coming first in eng in my grade. I don't memorise essays, but I of course memorise quotes and paragraphs roughly, I try to remember the structure of my essays. I generally just make links between the texts when going from one to the other, just a sentence drawing...

    I think in english alota people worry too much about a formula and too little about saying insightful, meaningful things, which encourages markers to appreciate the uniqueness of your work. I think alota the synthesis necessary can be implied pretty easily, and just start and end your paragraphs...

    Lol, EE1 is my 12th unit and I've so far done ZERO study for it, despite being ranked second. I reckon our class will do shit, so I'm just kinda ignoring it, it just won't count in ATAR. If you're confident it's your worst unit and it's your 11th unit don't bother focusing on it is my advice

    Don't ever use first person, you sound childish. ALWAYS THIRD PERSON. There is no way you'll be marked done for using third person, but alota teachers don't like first person. Especially not right at the start of an essay, gives an immature impression

    It means evaluate. 'Discuss', 'to what extent', 'evaluate', 'assess'...They basically all mean the same thing, don't let em confuse you

    One. Kinda. Haven't written it since the trial though, it's not long enough and I'm horrible at creative. I'm good at english, I'm fine with the essays, really. But creative is just unbearable, and it's only about 15% of the marks, a 10-12 mark is fine with me
